The Restored Gospel Is Not Fox News or MSNBC

Fox News or MSNBC do not Reach the Values of the Gospel Based on countless comments, emails, and other communications I receive from members, for many members, their political fervor supersedes their fervor for the Gospel and for the Church. This creates a false values hierarchy that can only bring destructive consequences. Do we hold a stronger affiliation and identity with a political idea or philosophy than we do with the gospel? Or a party over the Church? The result would be a cognitive dissonance that could alienate us from our covenants and from truth. Things are not going to get easier. We must obtain and use Clear Thinking and learn to get through the weeds   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

LDS Church News Email on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Church News Email Supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion The Church News run by Deseret News had an article about International Women's Day with several enriching stories from women leaders of the Church. However, the introduction of the article and the email header by the Church Communications Department gave a very different take and message on the day focusing instead on #BreakTheBias stating " people all over the world are encouraged to call out and break gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping in order to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive world." DEI is something very specific in the Critical Social Justice world.   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Come Follow Me LDS - Genesis 37-41 - Joseph In Egypt

A Legacy of The Book of Mormon Did Nephi use these chapters about Joseph, his ancestor, to write his portion of the Book of Mormon? What does Joseph's coat of many colors represent? The importance of others being able to trust you. More trickery.   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

"Root Out Racism" is not Critical Race Theory

Many Members Of The Church Are Confused By Those Conflating Root Out Racism with Critical Race Theory The Charge from President Nelson and President Oaks to "Root out racism" and "lead out" against prejudice does not imply support for Critical Race Theory. In fact, looking closely at President Oaks' words since President Nelson made the charge in the October 2020 General Conference, shows just the opposite. Yet many members of the Church and BYU professors make the claim that this important message from our Church leaders is to be carried out through radical leftist ideologies and practices. We need to be able to discern the differences.   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Come Follow Me LDS - Genesis 28-33, Jacob Becomes Israel

Jacob Separates from Esau Then Reconciles in a Covenant Theme The story of Genesis 28-33 is told in a covenantal outline. Jacob leaves Esau then reconciles with him in an "embrace", similar to an embrace at the veil. The story seems to use the meaning of the names of the children born to Jacob as anchor points. Jacob and Rachael meet at a well. More trickery.   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Canada Moving Toward Minority Report Government?

Trudeau and Canada Move Toward "Pre-Crime" and a Social Credit System When Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act it gave him unprecedented powers as Prime Minister. He was able to circumvent due process and the courts, compel private businesses to assist him, to detain not only the protesters but those who financially and otherwise supported the protests, and to cut them off from the modern economy. Earlier this week he revoked the Emergencies act but he and his administration made it clear that they were going to make some of the provisions "permanent". Then came the re-emergence of Bill C-36. A "pre-crime" bill in the vein of The Minority Report that allows citizens to turn each other in if they think someone may post something online with "unacceptable views"   Website - https://www.cwicmedia.com

Neal A. Maxwell on Social Justice, Equality, and Secularism

In 1974 Neal A. Maxwell wrote a very applicable and telling article in regards to egalitarianism, equality, and secularism. It should be an anchor and reference for everyone trying to navigate the waters of Critical Race Theory, Critical Social Justice, and our changing institutions as well as parsing out a woke ideology from President Nelson's charge to "root out racism". It is telling that the primary egalitarian and "equality" ideology of the day was Communism/Socialism globally, yet he could have written this article today as it applies directly to the Social Justice movement. Why? Because they are rooted in the same Marxian tenets. They act the same and they will have the same results.
