039 Lian Brook-Tyler

In a delightful revisit to the podcast, Lian shares, with her usual effervescence, what’s changed in her business and in herself, how her business partner Jonathan and her are running the business they want to run, as well as discussing why we do what we do, what is true, and her strategy of exploration and test. Here’s the link to Ankush Jain’s Coaching Group on Facebook, and the post referred to in the conversation: https://www.facebook.com/groups/coaching3ps/permalink/617190311954142/ And the Steve Chandler Elvis post, also mentioned: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1577403675710426&id=130573737060101 Here's a little more about Lian: Lian is a co-founder of the education platform Primal Happiness and the host of the weekly top 10 ranked iTunes happiness podcast The Primal Happiness Show. Lian was lucky to have had an amazingly happy upbringing, bursting with love and adventure. And she was attacked which resulted in chronic facial pain, massive panic attacks and anxiety. That started a 15 year search for relief from her emotional and physical pain... she tried traditional medicine and then most types of self-help and woo that you can think of. Nothing helped. Until she discovered the true nature of happiness and then in an instant, her anxiety, fears, limitations, and even the chronic pain dropped away! Her life is now ridiculously happy and her mission is to share the fundamentals behind reclaiming happiness and thriving in all areas of life… with the world! Lian lives in cottage in England, with her husband, their two young children, and a triple helping of ginger goodness: their cat Beatle and their two Hungarian Vizsla dogs Laszlo and Mabel. Her passions are baking, writing, hosting parties, making and drinking cocktails, and watching wonderful people wake up to a life without limits. 034 Shanti Zimmermann

Not so much an exclusive peek behind the curtains of Shanti’s life, because anyone who follows her on Facebook will already have a sense of who she is and what’s she’s up to. But it is a lovely conversation with someone who embraces her humanness to the full, and is deeply committed to loving and serving her clients. There is a beautiful simplicity in how she does that. Here’s a little more about Shanti: “I remember the days I would cry in the bathroom so that my family wouldn’t see my tears, because at the time, I didn't think they were allowed. I had to hide them. I had to hide me. I had to be safe. I live in the opposite of what many people would think looks like safety now, because it is the opposite of what I thought was safety then. Sharing everything and your mother’s butt on the interwebs, for all the see. Feeling all of my emotions right out in public, at the dining room table, in front of my family and my preciousness boobies. I feel. I feel it all. I feel ME. Living this work is my deepest commitment to myself, as much as it is to you and BeingShanti. Fullfilling my purpose as an Emotional Advocate for Authenticity and Genuine Interactions and Ending Violence In My Lifetime. Which means, I refuse to do, preach, teach, or advocate for anything that I do not live. Living in Emotional Authenticity is the very foundation on which allows me to stand, fall, crawl, yell, snort laugh, and snotty sob without apology. It is my birthright, my internal wealth, my compass to freedom each and every moment. It is my truth, extended to you and held with tender care by me. Known with every cell, and treasured with every fiber.” Continued on Shanti’s website at https://www.being-shanti.com/ You can follow Shanti on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/simplybeingshanti/ and https://www.facebook.com/shanti.zimmermannBeingShanti

032 Mark J Silverman

This episode is worth listening to just to hear Mark’s beautiful answer to my final question, and his humility and wisdom offers gems for all coaches throughout. You’ll not hear a more open and honest interview with any coach. The extended BIO we talk about in this episode can be found here: http://bernhardtwealth.com/Profiles/SilvermanMark.pdf Here’s a little more about Mark: I believe that every human being has the ability to be successful, happy and fulfilled. That becoming more of who you are (instead of what you think you need to be) will get you further in business, in your relationship and in life. It may or may not involve a change in career, but it definitely requires and deserves exploration. Over a 17-year career at fast-moving, fast-growing companies like NetApp, VMware and EMC, I generated over $90 million in sales and received numerous awards. I’ve led executive teams, management and front-line stakeholders to complete many successful projects and to close multi-million dollar deals. My career in the high tech Industry as a Sales Executive brought challenges, adventures and an incredible lifestyle. I was fortunate enough to travel the world, eat in amazing restaurants, live in a big house and drive the coolest cars. Raising two incredible boys as an involved father, a deepening spiritual center and dealing with devastating health challenges, I started to see things differently. I noticed that life in the 1% had a cost. For most, though we looked good on Facebook, and were distracted by toys and vacations, and would never admit it, that cost crept up on us until it was too late. This observation brought me to the realization that the drives and motivations of our early career are often unsustainable over time. Our skill sets, strategies and even our energy sources need to mature if we’re going to continue to move up and still thrive. Our relationships, our health and the satisfaction of our success rely on our ability to evolve. The good news is we can. We can have even greater success that is sustainable and integrated with our values. It isn’t easy; otherwise everyone would be making these choices. And, if we are deliberate and intentional, our time and energy will be focused on the things that really fulfill us. Today I work with Executives and Entrepreneurs to do success differently though one on one coaching, workshops and incredible travel adventures. I am dedicated to you having an extraordinary business, extraordinary relationships and an extraordinary life. https://markjsilverman.com/
