This lecture took place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 and has quickly become one of the most popular SOC 119 Lectures ever.
Sam invites two student volunteers, one mixed (black and Ashkenazi) and one Indian (West Bengal), to assist him in asking questions to three white American students about white privilege. This is not an all encompassing conversation, just 68 minutes of a conversation beginning.

During a lecture in the Fall 2017 semester, SOC 119 students were moved by Basim's story of tragedy and overcoming hate with empathy. They asked if SOC 119 could bring him to the United States to share his message. On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, that became a reality.
