011 - The Covenant Of Common Grace
In this episode, Chris and Lee trace the revelation of the covenant of common grace from Genesis to the New Testament. Family, state and culture are covered as institutions belonging to this period of the delay of final judgment. Listen to find out why this particular covenant is so important to you, how you understand the world, and how you relate to unbelievers. See if you can catch the reference to the republication controversy! 009 - The Framework Interpretation With Bill Baldwin
Now that the creation wars seem to have died down a bit, we thought that it would be interesting to revisit the subject of the Framework Interpretation of Genesis 1 and 2. Now that we don’t have to play defense as much, it seemed like a good time to give a positive presentation of the benefits of the Framework Interpretation, and to situate creation in the grand story that the Bible tells. To do this, we invited a special guest, our friend, Bill Baldwin to join us for the discussion. This episode is a little longer than most, but we think it’s well worth it. 008 - Interview With Pastor Mike Brown About His Book About Samuel Petto's Covenant Theology
Even though Meredith Kline invented new words at times, it is important to pause from time to time and take note of the fact that he was not the first one to say certain things. One seventeenth-century pastor-theologian who understood the Mosaic covenant very similarly to Meredith Kline was the English puritan Samuel Petto. Pastor Mike Brown of Christ United Reformed Church in Santee, CA was kind enough to come on the show and talk to Chris and Lee about the book that he has written about Petto, Petto’s view of the Mosaic covenant, and Petto’s pastoral use of his covenant theology for the comfort and assurance of believers. It was a privilege to talk to him, and we’re sure you’ll agree that it is a privilege to listen to him.
