The World Of High-Grade Gold Deposits in Cote d'Ivoire - with Andrew Chubb

We chat to Andrew Chubb, CEO of Awalé Resources, one of Africa's diligent and systematic mineral exploration companies, with a primary focus on discovering large, high-grade gold and copper-gold deposits in Cote d’Ivoire. Andrew is an economic geologist with more than 20 years of exploration and mining experience in technical operational, consulting and advisory roles leading large teams from exploration to feasibility across Australia, Africa, and Europe. He’s been with Awalé Resources since 2018 as their COO before moving into the CEO role last year. He tells us more about the company's journey, their recent fundraising activities from investors and through the Newmont JV, early drilling results, the mining environment in Cote d'Ivoire, and what the company is looking to achieve in the short term.  KEY TAKEAWAYS A Toronto-listed exploration company focusing on making big discoveries in Cote d'Ivoire, with recent encouraging drill results at BBM and Charger prospects. Cote d'Ivoire has a robust regulatory framework since 2012, attracting foreign investment and becoming an economic powerhouse in Francophone West Africa. Plans to continue drilling on the joint venture, focusing on resource drilling at BBM, pipeline targets, and regional work to prove district-scale potential. Currently recruiting for various roles, including a VP of Exploration, chief geologists, junior geologists, and local content roles to support the company's growth and operations. BEST MOMENTS "I guess it is a fantastic opportunity. I mean, Australia, we're very lucky because it's such a big country and the geology is extremely diverse as well." "It's a pretty exciting time for the company and anyone that actually gets the opportunity to come on board with us."  "It's like a geologist's dream because it's a tabular ore body and it's increasing in width at depth, perhaps increasing a little bit in grade at depth as well."
