Are you willing to be a Risker for God? In this second sermon of Emerge Conference 2018, Bobby Chaw reminds Christians that they are “a chosen generation” (1 Pet 2:9), carefully selected by God and made holy. An example of a Risker is William Tyndale, a Bible scholar who made it his life’s mission to bring the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible to the people by translating it into English; a mission that he paid for with his life, so that the Word could bring millions to Christ.

God has chosen us and set us apart from our mother’s womb, with a designated purpose for each one of us. We are the reason and the subject of His passion! People with a purpose are unstoppable, and the enemy knows that. He will try everything to keep us from fulfilling our destiny in Christ. How do we guard and grow our passion for Jesus? Our God is a transgenerational God—He rules and reigns over generations that come after us. "Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts." (Heb 3:15) In this sermon, Bobby Chaw challenges the believer to respond wholeheartedly to God when the Word convicts him. Many believers have "a saved heart but a pagan mind", just like the children of Israel who were physically away from Egypt but kept their old, defeatist thinking. The only way to grow up as a Christian, is to change our old way of thinking; to stop, repent and receive the grace of the Holy Spirit.

The goal of worship is to be transformed into the image of the One who is being worshipped.
