His older brother and sister began to compare themselves to their little brother, who had a special calling from the Lord and was the one the Israelites saw as their leader. Envy downplays everything that is positive about oneself and others, even one's God-given gifts and talents; envy is destructive because it prevents a believer from seeing the truth. The cure for envy is honor: to honor someone is to esteem him better than oneself (Phil. 2:3).

The Bible says that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Ps 91:1-2). There are times in every Christian's life when he hits the brick wall called "I don't know what to do anymore". When we bring all we are to God—the good, the bad and the ugly—His love covers us and realigns us.

In this second sermon of Emerge Conference 2018, Bobby Chaw reminds Christians that they are “a chosen generation” (1 Pet 2:9), carefully selected by God and made holy. Therefore, we are to stay pure and protect our holiness so that we can fulfil God’s calling in our lifetime, and do mighty exploits for Him. An example of a Risker is William Tyndale, a Bible scholar who made it his life’s mission to bring the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible to the people by translating it into English; a mission that he paid for with his life, so that the Word could bring millions to Christ.
