In the second part of this teaching, Kong Hee shows through Scripture how Jesus always spoke the truth but with great love to sinners like the woman at the well (Jn 4) and the adulterous woman (Jn 8), and by doing so, transformed their lives. The truth is important because it determines the outcome of our lives and our growth, but the evidence of our spiritual maturity is how well we balance truth with love (Eph 4). In this season, being stuck in the middle, unable to fully resume life as we know it, can make Christians feel like their faith has been left hanging in mid-air. When Jesus faced opposition, He refused to give in to fear, but accepted the new norm and took positive action. Jesus also had a succession plan: he trained his 12 disciples and 70 followers, expanding His options through seeking God. Likewise we must get ready for the next season of our lives. Erwin McManus, lead pastor of Mosaic Church in LA, returns with a powerful message gleaned from the four lepers in 2 Kings 7, who were so desperate in the famine that they set out for the enemy land of the Arameans. There are four lessons to be learned: one, we need to find courage in desperation, to move forward realizing we have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Two, the victory that only comes in surrender, when we surrender the famine of our lives and step into God’s abundance. Three, the abundance of favor, recognizing that we are blessed not to hoard, but to bless others. Finally, the generosity of grace, when we share the abundance of grace, joy, encouragement that we have in Jesus with those that most need it in this time. Don’t wait until daylight to share the Good News—people are searching for Jesus, and you are equipped to show them the way.

How do you respond to crisis? In this sermon based on Numbers 21 Bobby Chaw encourages you to respond in faith and respond with praise. The first generation of the children of Israel allowed songs of praise to leave their lips and replaced them with complaints—they failed to reach their Promised Land. David, on the other hand, wrote Psalms 16 and 34 during difficult periods of his life, singing praise to God in faith for the opposite of what he was experiencing. Praise is authentic, praise acknowledges God and praise is creative— let your praise create a future when there seems to be no future.
