How do we make sense of 2020? What is God telling us? In this sermon, Wu Yu Zhuang draws from Jeremiah 29:5, in which the prophet encouraged the children of Israel in captivity to prepare to stay in Babylon, and while they were waiting, to “build houses and dwell in them, plant gardens and eat their fruit.” Likewise, we find ourselves held captive by COVID-19. Yet, while we remain in this situation, we must build our house—both our natural family and our spiritual family. It’s the time to build good relationships in our household: husbands must help their wives; wives must encourage their husbands; children must honor their parents. Likewise, following in Jesus’ footsteps, we are to build the Church with our spiritual family. Be encouraged by this message to continue in good works even during bad times.

For the last two millennia, each year ends in hope because of Christmas, which is the celebration of Christ. In this illuminating sermon, Kong Hee unpacks what Apostle John meant when he called Jesus “the Word”. Jesus Christ the living Word has made Himself synonymous with the written Word. If we want to know how to interpret the Bible and live out the truth, we just have to look at Jesus. He comes into every situation we’re in when we find the Bible verse, meditate upon that Word and receive it into our hearts. In the same way that Mary received the seed of God’s Word that she would bear Jesus, all God wants is for us to believe and then receive the answers and miracles He has promised.

Of all those we are called to honor in their lives, the most important Person is God. Kong Hee teaches us five ways to honor the Lord. First, we honor Him with our whole heart—our thoughts, affections, desires, visions and dreams, motives, concerns and morality. We honor Him with our body by fleeing sexual immorality and respecting the body that is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We honor God by enjoying our Sabbath, setting aside one day a week for the things that glorify Him. We honor God with our worship, giving Him the sacrifice of our praise even in tough times. And finally, we honor Him with our giving—just as the Father gave us Jesus, the Firstfruit, so do we honor Him with our tithes and offerings.

What does God require of us as believers? In this sermon, Bobby Chaw shows us the answer in Deuteronomy 10. We are to fear the Lord our God, walk in all His ways and love Him - to fear is to honor God. Honoring God begins in our heart and mind. In our prayer and communion with Him, we give Him honor and preference, constantly aware of His presence. Finally, we can honor God by blessing and praising Him at all times, even through the darkest of days. Let all that is within us, bless and honor the Lord!

In this companion sermon to "Becoming A Person Of Truth And Love", Aries Zulkarnain teaches what it means to be a person who obeys God's command to love his neighbor as yourself. "Gospel neighboring" is three things: to show love to anyone unconditionally, to exercise humility and self-awareness and to demonstrate radical, sacrificial love. All this is only possible when we manifest Jesus in our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit—only when He is Lord over our lives, including our beliefs, values and spiritual reality, can we love like He does.

Continuing his sermon series on honor, Kong Hee teaches the importance of honoring those who seem unimportant or undeserving. Drawing from Jesus’ example, Pastor Kong shows how He showed honor to His disciples by washing their feet—a job for servants. When the disciples wanted to chase away the little children, Jesus publicly acknowledged and gave affection the little ones. Likewise, parents should give time, affection and affirmation to their children. Lastly, Jesus showed honor even to sinners like the adulterous woman, giving her hope as He told her not to sin again. Listen to this powerful sermon and be encouraged to move in the power of honor, affirmation and forgiveness, as Jesus did.

Do you feel as if you have lost everything? In this sermon, Wu Yuzhuang declares that God wants to recover all that you have all. A sequel to his earlier sermon “Rejected By Man, Chosen By God”, Pastor Zhuang brings us back to Ziklag, a place given to David. The Amalekites came and took away the wives and children of David and his men. Likewise, the devil is coming after our gifts: our jobs, comfort, church services, our children. We must defend our gifts—our walk with God, our worship, our relationships, our purpose. What did David do to recover all he lost? He encouraged himself in the Lord, pursued what he lost, endured a pruning process and he showed honor and kindness to the weak. Be encouraged by this message and a powerful testimony of how God recovers that which was lost.

Jesus was publicly shamed by His own siblings and doubted by His cousin, but He never spoke out against them. Instead, Jesus set the example for all Christians to follow: correct someone in private, honor them in public. In this second instalment of his series on honor, Kong Hee teaches us the importance of focusing on the problem and not the person, to release our anger, and to be Christlike, doing as Jesus did, exemplifying His character.

To honor someone is to always believe in, hope for and think the best of him (Phil 4:8). In this sermon, Kong Hee shows from Scripture the importance of having a spirit of honor; Jesus was an honoring person, even to the woman at the well. Pastor Kong highlights two groups of people we are specifically called to honor: our parents and our spouse. Listen to this sermon and start cultivating a spirit of honor.

Bobby Chaw leads us in a study of the faithfulness of Moses. Moses remained faithful believing in God's promises, despite experiencing disappointments many times. He also endured multiple betrayals from the people closest fo him; still, he was faithful to obey God's command to love and forgive. Moses faced failure after failure, but against all odds, he faithfully obeyed the Lord and led the children of Israel out of Egypt. But Moses never got to see the Promised Land; his inheritance was the Lord. This message reminds us that when we have the Lord, we have everything, so let's be faithful to the very end.
