Hope is a good thing

What is hope? Hope comes to us in various forms. Maybe it is the shining star in that night of despair. Or a small paragraph of a book. We all have our share of bad times where we nearly gave up. In desperate times hope helps us to get out of that hollow pit. In this episode, I will share my story about such times. I hope this episode can give the hope to keep going on.

Being Self-Aware

One of the hardest things you can do, is spend time with yourself. This was self-realisation borne out of a conversation with my co-founder at Nearbuy, Ravi. The whole thought was triggered by a recent conversation with an author who asked, "Why are some entrepreneurs more resilient than others?" This, and more on my latest episode.

Making Tough Decisions in Life

This episode is all about making a difficult choice in life. Or to rephrase it, how to choose between the decisions you want to make and the decisions you are told to make? I will walk you through two mental models that have helped me hugely, and I’m sure they’ll help you see a lot more clearly. We will also walk through a visualization method where I will not ask you to visualize what you want. Rather I will ask you to do the opposite. When we visualize the exact opposite of what we want, we release a lot of fear that is actually stopping us from action. Hope these mental models help you decide in a way that is right for you. They’ll serve as a template for you to apply in every fork you encounter; instead of me rendering you a one-size fits all statement of advice. If there’s any question about this episode or regarding making a difficult choice in life, let me know in the comments section. Will do my best to help you out.

Mistakes I made in my 20s

Some of the mistakes I made in my 20’s. I was embarrassed at who I was, yet couldn’t be happier for the journey and where it was taking me. Let’s explore why! I continued to pursue my education despite the fact that it didn’t make me happy. Read books to look cool, without doing what books are meant to do: challenge and provoke our thoughts and beliefs. I took no care of my health and tried to please people – all the while not taking care of my mind and body.
