Zali Steggall OAM MP Zali is an Independent Federal Member of Parliament for Warringah. Zali is a powerful advocate for social and political change, especially around issues that are important to her community. These include advocating for climate action, as well as greater honesty and accountability in parliament around promises made in election campaigns. Zali grew up in Manly and represented Australia in four Olympic Games in alpine skiing. Post retirement from international sporting competition, Zali trained as a lawyer and became a successful barrister specialising in sports and family law. Following this she entered politics as an independent in 2019 and the rest is history. Patrick McGorry Professor Patrick McGorry AO is the Executive Director at Orygen. Orygen is the leading youth mental health organisation in Australia. He is Professor of Youth Mental Health at the University of Melbourne, and founding editor of the journal Early Intervention in Psychiatry. He led the advocacy which resulted in the establishment by the Australian Government in 2005 of the National Youth Mental Health Foundation, which in 2006 became Headspace and he remains a founding board member of that organisation.
