The Continuing Scandal Of Muslim Grooming Gangs & The Failure Of Our Institutions To Deal With It

On this week's #SWYSI, we examine the continuing scandal of muslim grooming gangs. Our guest is Maggie Oliver, the detective-turned-whistleblower who resigned from Greater Manchester Police in late 2012 in order to expose the now infamous Rochdale Grooming Scandal. Maggie's relationship with the victims of child rape continues to this day, still fighting for justice for survivors of sexual abuse. This has now led to The Maggie Oliver Foundation being set up with the focus on helping survivors to "Transform Pain into Power". Is British Comedy An Endangered Species?

A recent report from OFCOM suggested that comedy was an endangered species on the BBC. Over the past decade the BBC's comedy output has declined by 40%. What does this mean for the future of comedy? And, indeed, given the degree to which comedy has been affected by issues of free speech and woke attitudes, what consequences do these have for comedy? A Problem With Porn? Should, Or Can, Anything Be Done?

Approx. 5 billion people can access the Internet and 25% of Internet searches are for pornography. If one was to watch the entire content of a site such as Porn Hub, it would take 173 years. The vast majority of adults have watched porn, but in recent years one of the fastest-growing groups who regularly consume it are minors, including very young children. Is porn now accepted as mainstream? Is the age of moral panic over porn over? How much do we know about the consequences of watching increasingly extreme / hard core porn? What impact does it have on child development and on our ability to form healthy relationships? How can these be addressed? Joining Peter Whittle on the #NCFCounterCulture sofa this week are: * Mary Sharpe, CEO of The Reward Foundation (a sex and relationship charity) * Paula Hall, a psychotherapist who specialises in sex addiction and pornography) * Emma Webb, Associate Fellow at Civitas --------------- SUBSCRIBE: If you are enjoying the show, please subscribe to our channel on YouTube (click the Subscribe Button underneath the video and then Click on the Bell icon next to it to make sure you Receive All Notifications) AUDIO: If you prefer Audio you can subscribe on itunes or Soundcloud. Dr Gad Saad -- The Parasitic Mind - How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense

Known for his appearances on the Joe Rogan Experience, Rubin Report and, most recently, Jordan Peterson's podcast, Prof. Gad Saad is a world-renowned Canadian evolutionary psychologist at Montreal's Concordia University. He also hosts ‘The Saad Truth’ YouTube channel. In this episode of "So What You're Saying Is..." (#SWYSI), Prof. Saad discusses his best-selling new book, "The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense". This fascinating work exposes how an epidemic of idea pathogens are spreading like a virus and killing common sense in the West. He argues that, as a result, the West’s commitment to freedom, reason, and true liberalism have become endangered by a series of viral forces in our society today. Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book "12 Rules for Life", Dr. Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of the concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society and how these have created serious consequences that must be remedied - before it’s too late. New 'Citizens Advice' Service For Employees & Other Victims Of Woke Culture

This time on "So What You're Saying is...", Peter Whittle is joined by Helen Pluckrose, co-author of the best-selling "Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholars Made Everything about Race, Gender and Identity" and a leading figure in the fight back against Critical Race Theory and Critical Social Justice. Helen is the founder of 'Counterweight', the newly launched "Citizens Advice" service for "culture war casualties". to quote from their website: "Following the death of George Floyd and the BLM protests, new policies and training programmes based on Critical Social Justice ideology suddenly began to be introduced into workplaces, universities and schools. "Many people who found CSJ at odds with their own principles spoke out against this and were formally censured, disciplined or fired for voicing their conscientious objections to the new orthodoxy. Many more self-censored for fear of such consequences. "Thousands of such individuals began to seek help and advice from people who had spoken publicly about the threat to liberal societies posed by Critical Social Justice. We created a Discord server so that we could triage the incoming appeals, prioritise people facing immediate danger of disciplinary action and provide practical information, support and resources to people with less urgent problems. "Individuals can most effectively resist authoritarian impositions of Critical Social Justice beliefs when they thoroughly understand CSJ and can confidently articulate their principled opposition. "Counterweight helps people understand the theoretical basis of CSJ ideology and provides a space where liberal-minded people from across the political spectrum can network and engage in civic discourse." Dave Rubin - What Now For USA Under Biden? How Can Non-Woke In UK & USA Fight Back In Culture Wars?

Dave Rubin, host of The Rubin Report & author of "Don't Burn This Book", returns to "So What You're Saying Is..." to discuss identity politics in the West and what lies ahead for America under a woke Biden presidency. In Biden's first few weeks in office we have seen cabinet appointments and executive orders steeped in identity politics, such as insisting that womens' sport be open to trans competitors. Dave Rubin talks about the state of Trumpism in the USA and whether Trump or a similar figure will be able to carry the movement through to the next election. Rubin believes key elements of Trumpism (patriotism, resistance to critical race theory and the woke agenda etc. etc.) must be saved and carried forward. With almost every institution now dominated by woke ideologues and ideology, Rubin believes the only solution is to start creating new, alternative, non-woke institutions. This is a massive project that would need to cover every imaginable institution, from schools, to tech companies, publishing houses or even banks. How can this be achieved? What do the non-woke need to do? Dave Rubin says opportunities will arise and these must be seized. He is doing this himself through his https://locals.com/ platform, which aims to provide a free speech safe haven where videos and material can be hosted beyond the reach of Big Tech. --------------- SUBSCRIBE: If you are enjoying the show, please subscribe to our channel on YouTube (click the Subscribe Button underneath the video and then Click on the Bell icon next to it to make sure you Receive All Notifications) AUDIO: If you prefer Audio you can subscribe on itunes or Soundcloud. Campus Freedom - The Threat To Free Speech In University & Academic Life

Universities should, almost by definition, be "safe spaces" for free speech, open discourse and wide-ranging debate on all manner of subjects. Yet over the past couple of decades this cherished status has been steadily eroded, with university campuses now more known for deplatforming and cancelling those who hold views deemed unacceptable by vocal woke students and faculty. Joining Peter Whittle on the #NCFCounterCulture sofa to discuss this are: * Prof. Jeremy Black MBE, retired professor of history at the University of Exeter and a prolific author. * Prof. Philip Kiszeley, lecturer in cultural history at the University of Leeds. * Emma Webb, Associate Fellow, Civitas. Andy Ngo - Unmasked - Inside Antifa's Radical Plan To Destroy Democracy.

This time on "So What You're Saying Is..." Peter Whittle is joined by Andy Ngo, an American journalist best known for covering the extremist Antifa ("Anti-fascist") movement. While the term "Antifa" has become well known in recent years, most people know little about this far-left movement of anarchists, communists and other radicals. When Ngo was attacked in the streets by Antifa in the summer of 2019, most people assumed it was an isolated incident. But those who'd been following Ngo's reporting in outlets like the New York Post and Quillette knew that the attack was only the latest in a long line of crimes perpetrated by Antifa. In his eagerly anticipated new book "Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy", Andy Ngo tells the story of this violent extremist movement from the very beginning. He includes interviews with former followers of the group, people who've been attacked by them, and incorporates stories from his own life. This book contains a trove of documents obtained by the author, published for the first time ever. As a result of his investigations, Ngo was forced to flee his hometown of Portland Oregon due to Antifa death threats. Ngo is editor-at-large of The Post Millennial news website and has published columns in publications such as the Wall Street Journal and The Spectator.
