Talkin' Rock with Megadeth's David Ellefson 2020
If you're into heavy music, this is your podcast! The topics with David Ellefson are many. I ask him if he's trying to be the busiest rocker during a pandemic. He has so many side projects, live stream chat sessions and on and on. We discuss the current strange times we're living in and what's happening with Megadeth. He fills me in on the writing process for the new album and how far along they are. He says the new record is next-level material. I couldn't have an interview with David without surprising him a little bit. I called up an old friend/band mate of David's to make the interview complete! Thank You so much for listening! This is a great conversation..... -Meltdown- https://www.davidellefson.com/ https://megadeth.com/ https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Talkin' Rock with 3 Doors Down Drummer Greg Upchurch
The timekeeper of 3 Doors Down is my guest today on Talkin' Rock. In this time of quarantine, he's gone off and written and recorded a song all by himself, playing all the parts. It's called "Skin To Skin". On this episode, we discuss the new song and all about what went into. it. He tells me what the 3DD guys are up to now and their current state of writing new material. He tells me about playing with Puddle Of Mudd and some thoughts on singer, Wes Scantlin. He also played for Chris Cornell and he tells me about his time with him. Greg has a great Bill Murray story. Plus, being from Oklahoma, I had to ask him about the Tiger King. I guess he's known about Joe Exotic for some time, unlike the rest of us. Thank you so much for listening! -Meltdown- https://www.facebook.com/greg.upchurch.1 https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Talkin' Rock with Bush's Gavin Rossdale 2020
It's another fun conversation with the one and only Gavin Rossdale. I've had the pleasure of interviewing him three times in the past year, and every time it's been very entertaining. Today is no different..... Lots on the topics menu today. His advice for his fans during these trying times and what he's been doing. If he's watched the Tiger King. (spoiler alert: he has, and the description of the show he gives is hysterical!) Of course we talk about the next Bush album. How personal it is, why the name change from what he told me last year, and that's just for starters. Thank you so much for listening! -Meltdown-See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

It's another two for one on Talkin' Rock. Up first it's guitar legend, Joe Satriani. We discuss his new album, which he corrected me on when I screwed up the title. Hey, I'm only human. Talkin' Rock with FFDP's Ivan Moody and author Jon Wiederhorn
Ivan Moody from Five Finger Death Punch is the first guest on the podcast today. F8 is the latest FFDP album and drops today, as I record this. I LOVE talking to Ivan. He's always so candid, like an open book. We talk about his recent edition to his family and why we can now call him Grandpa. Of course we discuss the new album and what went into it. How sobriety played a roll in the writing process. Ivan tells me about his CBD line and if he feels he's "made it" just for starters. Author Jon Weiderhorn joins me next. Talkin' Rock with Saliva's Josey Scott
Former and future Saliva front man Josey Scott is my guest today on Talkin' Rock. There's lots going on with him, after he's been really off the radar for the past 9 years. This is a very candid conversation and we cover a lot of topics. He gives me the details on his sobriety and the point were he decided that he had to kick his habits. He also talks about how he's now helping other addicts straighten up their lives. It's pretty inspiring, to say the least. What's he been doing for the past 10 years? When will he rejoin the band? He gives me his toughts on the fans, writing new music for Saliva and if he'll tour with them in the spring. How does he feel about going back out on tour sober? Josey tells me about being Grammy nominated, the rockers we've lost including a couple stories about Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell, the WWE using one of their songs and touring with rock legends KISS and Aerosmith. A huge THANK YOU to Josey for spending so much time with me and for being so open. Also, thank you to my friend Holly for trusting in me and hooking this up. You're awesome! Thank you so much for listening! Talkin' Rock with Comedian Brian Posehn
Comedian Brian Posehn joins me today to discuss his "Grandpa Metal" album. It's his latest record with tons of guests and songs. We talk a little about some of his rocker friends, some Pantera stories and how Brian is like a rocker trapped in a comedians body. He talks about some of the funny rock stars he knows. He took on A Ha's "Take On Me" with a metal cover, which he discusses and is pretty emotional. With all the guests that are on the album, who couldn't contribute? You'd think it would be hard to write a compelling penis song, but not so. How often does he get recognized, and more..... Al Beck gives us Rock News on Ozzy, Metallica and Rage Against The Machine. Plus, a band celebrating their 25th anniversary with an album and tour, a wild event onstage at a recent Mr. Bungle show and more. Talkin' Rock with Rob Zombie Guitarist John 5
John 5 returns to Talkin' Rock as he's currently out on tour with Queensryche. What a bill! I had a chance to see the show last night, and it's a killer double bill! Since the show was in John's hometown of Detroit, he was nice enough to come by the studio and do this interview in person, with a film crew and his sister and brother-in-law. We cover lots of topics - the new Zombie album, his thoughts on his old boss, David Lee Roth, touring with KISS, a story of a high school teacher telling him he'd never make it and his live Invasion album that's coming out. How and why did he don the makeup? What happened the first time he met Rob? What were his thoughts at the passing of Neil Peart? As everyone knows, he's a giant KISS fan, so we talk a little about them, RIFF Fest and more. Al Beck finally decides to come to work and do rock news. Lots going on today including news on Green Day, Ozzy, KISS playing America's Got Talent, Tommy Lee on the "Goldberg's", Foo Fighters news and a band that has this killer app to hear their new song. That is wild! Chase from Chase Engel and the Night Shift round out the podcast. They're an up and coming band, playing a big show with Sponge on February 22nd at Diesel Concert Lounge. He tells me about doing some shows with Buckcherry and some really exciting 2020 plans, as well as their connection to the band Tesla. Thank you so much for listening!! 5 star ratings go a long way on Apple and iTunes. -Meltdown- https://john-5.com/main/ https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/ https://www.chaseengelandthenightshift.com/See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
