Talkin' Rock with Fozzy's Chris Jericho and Envy Of None's Andy Curran
This is just a fun, cool episode....oh, and very Canadian! Chris Jericho is a legend in and out of the wrestling ring, and a good dude. Fozzy kicks off their tour in Detroit, so Y2J was nice enough to come by the studio and talk about rock, the tour, the upcoming Fozzy album and life getting back to normal. We talk about the use of backing tracks in the live setting and how he's managed to drive down so many lanes of the entertainment business. Plus, a bonus question about wearing a sleeping mask, as did Chris L. from the Pod Of Thunder podcast. Andy Curran is up next - around the 25 minute mark. Of course we talk about hockey, and his team the Blackhawks. Then we get into the Envy of None band. He talks about how it was formed, the album, and the vision Alex Lifeson had for the project. He talks about the last few years of Neil Peart's life and some great Taylor Hawkins stories of playing with the guys. That's just for starters.... Talkin' Rock with Dee Snider and Phil X with Kurt Deimer
Another killer episode of Talkin' Rock. This time it's Dee Snider, along with Phil X and Kurt Deimer. Dee's up first talking about the Legacy: Tribute to Leslie West album. He talks about their friendship, meeting Leslie for the first time and all the rock giants that are on this album. We talk about the Station nightclub fire that happened 19 years ago. Dee was involved in a fundraising event as well as a documentary. He also answers the question of what people might misconceive about him. That was interesting. Then - around the 17 minute mark - it's Phil X and Kurt Deimer. Their album is Work Hard, Rock Hard. We talk about the record, those guys meeting for the first time, Geoff Tate singing on a track and more. Phil tells me about his time in Triumph, filling big shoes in that band and Bon Jovi and lots more. Talkin' Rock with Tommy Vext and John Corabi
Two killer interviews, one mediocre podcast! Tommy Vext is first talking about his new single Trust The Science. We talk about that, who's in his band and the covers he's done. He tells me about his politics, losing and gaining friends over it, leaving Bad Wolves and tons more. Then (around the 27 minute mark) it's John Corabi. Lots of topics are covered. The Penis poem....you read that right...his tour, the Pam and Tommy mini series on Hulu, the Scream re-issues, the music business and tons more. Listen, share, spread the podcast! Talkin' Rock with Joe Walsh
This interview is so much fun! Joe was awesome.... He tells me about the Eagles current tour and the massive production that goes with it. He answers what it's like to play with Vince Gill and about his eBay addiction, which is funny. We talk about the use of In The City in the movie Warriors. I ask him his thoughts of Dolly Parton withdrawing her name for Rock Hall consideration, to which he has a hysterical response. Plus, best advice he's received from another guitarist, and a little talk about Glenn Frye. Talkin' Rock with Damon Johnson of Brother Cane and Detroit Red Wing Legend Darren McCarty
Don't let the title fool you. It's Darren McCarty and myself interviewing Damon. These two guys have an unbelievable history together, which we talk about. Let's just say Damon has a deep connection to the Motor City. But we have to talk about the most recent news; Damon is getting the band back together! Brother Cane will play a couple shows this year - as of now - and DJ tells us the reason why they're getting back together and why now. He talks about his time since the BC days, some great Alice Cooper stories and LOTS more. Talkin' Rock with Danny Koker of Count's Kustoms and Death Dealer's Sean Peck
Two rockers with Detroit roots join me today on Talkin' Rock. First, it's Danny Koker from Count's Kustoms. Of course you know Danny from the custom car TV show, but he's a rocker at heart. We talk about hot rods, his start in reality TV, his rock club and lots more. He'll be making an appearance at AutoRama on March 6th. Up next, it's metal singer Sean Peck. The new Death Dealer EP is out. He talks about that and all the DD material they've written for future release and more. He talks about the start of the band, playing with Ross The Boss, a couple questions from "Ripper" Owens including a story about how Sean's snake caused havoc on a Judas Priest tour....that's just for starters. Talkin' Rock with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and the ladies of Plush
It's a female dominated Talkin' Rock episode. I mean, it's always fun when Lzzy Hale shows up. Her and her band are some of the nicest people in this business. The new album is dropping in May. She talks about that, Ann Wilson, a funny road story from the early days, and how she started using those white Gibsons. Then, it's the entire Plush band. It's unreal to think that some of these ladies just graduated from High School! Unreal! We talk about their upcoming tour, their influences and how they look to influence others, funny tour stories and lots more! -Meltdown- https://www.halestormrocks.com/ https://www.plushrocks.net/ https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/ See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Talkin' Rock with Wolfgang Van Halen/Dirty Honey's Marc LaBelle and Dream Theaters Mike Mangini
We've had an awesome week on the podcast and today is no different. Mammoth WVH and Dirty Honey are hitting the tour trail for the Young Guns tour, so Wolfgang Van Halen and Marc LaBelle were nice enough to talk about it. Marc talked about the props Slash gave his band, their festival appearance in France, their latest album and more. Wolfgang talked about the GNR tour, his album and some stuff about his legendary father, just for starters. Then, Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini joins me. I've never met him so I wasn't sure what I'd get. He was great! He talked about getting back on stage, their Grammy nod and his picks for greatest living drummer. He was had a fascinating story about joining the band. Lots more after that........ -Meltdown- https://www.mammothwvh.com/ https://www.dirtyhoney.com/ https://dreamtheater.net/ https://wrif.com/podcasts/talkin-rock-with-meltdown/ See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Talkin' Rock with Slash and Nick Reese of Joyous Wolf
Man, I'll be honest, Slash is so much fun to talk to. He has a great sense of humor and is such a legend. On today's episode we talk about the upcoming Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators 4 album. We talk about it's live feel, flavor of the songs, and even about an "epic" song that Myles told me about last fall. He talks about playing theaters as opposed to stadiums, his songs used in movies - specifically Sweet Child O' Mine in Step Brothers - and his social media accounts. Just fun and really cool! Up next, it's Nick Reese from Joyous Wolf, a band Slash praised for being an up and coming band to watch out for. Nick talks about that, the new music they're going to be dropping this year, touring, other rock bands he likes, some European festival dates and more. Keep an eye out on this band! Talkin' Rock with Jack White and Dorothy
It's days like today when I can't believe I get to do interviews like this! I've been a fan of Jack's for a long time, and when the email came for the chance to talk to him, of course I jumped at it. We talk about his upcoming tour, both of the records he's dropping and his writing process. We get into a little talk about the Rock Hall, being a Detroit musician, and more. I was really excited to talk to Jack and he was really cool. Then, it's my friend, Dorothy. Her new album Gifts From The Holy Ghost drops this spring as she tells me about it. The title refers to an unreal experience that she had on tour a few years ago, which she told me about the last time she was on the show. We talk about a few of the other songs that will be on the album, special guests she has playing and LOTS more. Dorothy is the best and I'm so glad she came on again.
