Welcome to the world Fiadh Erin! Our producer Maria has produced a new bundle of joy, and she's already well onto the reality TV trend. Maria joined Dermot and Dave to chat about how Fiadh arrived, how Rían is coping as big brother and the first reality TV the gals shared!

Think Warner Bros. Studios but just in Mullingar! It was announced in July that a ‘purpose-built campus’ to attract large-scale blockbuster film and TV productions from around the world got the go ahead for planning permission in Mullingar, County Westmeath. Hammerlake Studios will become Irelands largest film studio when it’s built and Paul Chesney, The CEO of Hammerlake Studios joined Dermot and Dave to tell them all about it.

She’s the Queen, she’s an Oscar winner and now, she’s Joy! The big Irish release of 2022 is ‘Joyride’, the first feature film from director Emer Reynolds and stars Olivia Colman. Set and filmed in Kerry, the film follows Joy (Olivia Colman) and Mully (newcomer Charlie Reid) as a mismatched pair on a most interesting trip. Emer joined Dermot and Dave to chat about ‘Joyride’, how her work on documentaries such as ‘Phil Lynott: Songs for While I’m Away’ helped the filming process and why Olivia Colman was her first and only choice for Joy. We heard all about his amazing trip, including a very embarrassing waterpark incident, and then caught up with Dermot from his sick bed. Speaking of embarrassment, we had the most incredible story from Pat Shortt who shared his sleepwalking shame. But fear not, nearly 10 years later, he was able to apologise to Sinead and Peter who made contact with the show. Now, he can finally rest easy at night. Unless he’s sleepwalking of course. Thankfully, our Dave had a much better week. After growing sick of making pizza while his kitchen is being done up, he had a gourmet experience when he boiled some pasta and sauce on a pan. He’s been the star of a St Patrick’s Day Parade, he’s become a father for a week, but we think the latest ‘Challenge Cathal’ could be the toughest one yet. With the winter months approaching, we wanted something to keep our Cathal motivated to stay active. Like…say…running a marathon in 12 weeks time? That’s right, we’ve signed him up for the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and he is NOT ready.

He’s only 26, he’s a Countdown Octo-Champ, and he could be the first Irish person living in the Republic to win one of the oldest and most popular quiz shows! Dubliner Edward Byrne has already been breaking records on our screens and he’s not done yet. Edward joined Dermot and Dave to share his Countdown tips and even got into a challenge with our Dave.

Imagine having the fear that your child could, at any moment, bolt at speed away from safety and into a scary and dangerous situation. This is the reality for thousands of families of autistic children. However, help is available, and it has four legs. Autism Assistance Dogs have become a life changer for families across Ireland, but they need help. The seventh annual Woodie’s Heroes campaign is taking place at the moment, and Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland are one of the lucky charities set to benefit! Sara Brodoni is Mum to Reuben and human to Indi and she joined Dermot and Dave to explain how Indi has made things they thought impossible almost easy! There’s nothing quite like asking someone ‘where in the world are you?’ only to be told ‘somewhere in Italy…we’re not sure’. That was the response Dermot and Dave got when they caught up with Enda Coll and Aileen Ryan. The couple have spent €6500 renovating a Ford Transit, and they’re putting it to good use as they travel around Europe. They spoke to Dermot and Dave about what they’ve been up to, how they’re finding their cramped living conditions and how they’ve coped with the extreme heat!
