Wedding Season is the latest comedy-drama from Disney+ and the main star is our own Gavin Drea. While the name might suggest ‘rom-com’, the series is actually a murder-mystery, comedy, romance drama. We’re still working on a portmanteau for that mix of theme! It’s dark, deeply funny and well worth a watch. Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Gavin explained what viewers can see, revealed why he’s decided to keep his own accent and told us about his brilliant Dublin Fringe Show.

Garth and Brook from Galway had it all planned. IKEA for the day, Garth for the night and then back to their campervan to escape the crazy Dublin hotel prices. But sometimes things don’t work out like that. Garth aka definitely not Adie joined Dermot and Dave to share his warning tale of peril, fences and a very confused taxi driver.

Four years ago, we got an email in from Chris Coleman who had met the potential love of his life in a nightclub in Athlone. Problem was, he couldn’t really remember anything about her. And he needed our help. Help we did and soon enough we found his beloved Caitriona, introduced them on national radio and sent them on a date. The rest was history. Chris and Caitriona joined Dermot and Dave on their wedding day!

It’s been a long time but Galway had better get ready for some seriously good comedy. The Galway Comedy Festival returns for it’s first post-lockdown, no restrictions necessary, all the craic extravaganza. With 100 comedians taking to stages all over the city, and tonnes of other gas events, it’s shaping up to be a week to remember. Reginald D Hunter is just one of the amazing comedians on the line up and he joined Dermot and Dave to chat being back in Ireland, sausages and what we can expect from his show!
