On your iPhone go to the Watch app - Workout - Workout View, then pick which workout you want to customize. Then you can select which items you want to view on your Apple Watch. For my “Outdoor Run” I like to see Duration, Heart Rate, Current Pace, and Distance. When I’m in “Hiking” I like to see Current Elevation and Elevation Gain. Bonus: when you’re in workout view, you can turn the Digital Crown to “highlight” one of these metrics with a color which makes it easier to see. Jeff’s iOS 15 Tip: Drag and Drop between apps on an iPhone - works with photos, URLs, documents (e.g. from a list in the Dropbox app), etc. Here’s a video demonstration from Marcos Alonso, a human interface designer at Apple: https://twitter.com/malonso/status/1439999537133678593 Brett Burney from http://www.appsinlaw.com Jeff Richardson from http://www.iphonejd.com Support the showBrett Burney from http://www.appsinlaw.comJeff Richardson from http://www.iphonejd.com

Jeff’s Apple Store Tip: In my experience, the best way to order an Apple product directly from Apple. And it was better than ever this year because you could prepare your iPhone pre-order in the app so that everything was ready to go when Apple started officially taking pre-orders at 5am Pacific / 8am Eastern. And for me using a Mac, the Notes app is right there and everything is synced. But I know a lot of folks are NOT using a Mac, and unfortunately Apple doesn’t offer a Notes app for Windows. The easiest way to access your Notes on a Windows computer is to simply open a browser and visit www.icloud.com where you’ll find a Notes icon there to see all the synced Notes from your iPhone or iPad. Another way to do this is create a Progressive Web App, which is really a shortcut to the website, but it might be easier to access there. Jeff’s Hurricane Gadget: Midland ER310 Emergency Radio ($60). Built-in rechargeable 2600 mAh battery (Micro USB) (32 hours of radio), or can use built-in crank to charge, or can use built-in solar panel to charge, or can use 6 AA batteries. (Variety) Brett’s Shazam Tip: I LOVE using Shazam and happy that Apple acquired them in 2018. I hardly even open the Shazam app, but I would usually say “Hey Siri, what song is this?” which worked ok, but sometimes it would take too long. But you can add the Shazam button to your Control Center by going into Settings and adding “Music Recognition” to the Control Center and this works MUCH better! Jeff’s Secure Wi-Fi Tip: Secure your wi-fi router with Apple’s HomeKit. Just make sure your wi-fi router support HomeKit and you can connect them. This will help make sure your fish tanks are secure!
