Our Passive Income Report - November 2020
#169: “Vision is something that you think about, but the reality of it is when you can see it because you put it down somewhere in front of you.” ~ Russ MorganAs we’re nearing 2021, it’s a great time to sit down with your family, envision what you want to accomplish for the coming year, and put everyone’s ideas on a vision board. The Passive Income Report is part of Russ’s vision board. This practice was inspired by Entrepreneurs on Fire by John Lee Dumas and The Smart Passive Income by Pat Flynn, who put their passive income on their websites to motivate others to set goals and create accountability. Today, Russ and Joey will go through the November Passive Income Report and share “the good, the bad, and the ugly” with what they’re doing. One good practice you can start with is creating a vision board to achieve what you want and gain financial freedom in 2021. Round Table | How To Use Your Policy for Gifting
It’s the season of giving, and we love giving gifts. If you can pass down anything to your children, what would it be? Have you ever considered using life insurance as a gifting mechanism? In today’s round table, we’ll talk about how to use your insurance policy for gifting. A couple of ideas would be funding a life insurance policy for a child or grandchild or electing a portion of your death benefit to go to a charity. Using the Infinite Banking Concept or IBC, we buy cash value, and we purchase infinite uses of that cash value. In Nelson Nash’s second book, Building Your Warehouse of Wealth, there’s a chapter that talks about “anticipating a windfall.” Essentially what we can do within the framework of IBC would be: PAY premium->CREATE cash value->BORROW against that cash value->GIVE in anticipation of a windfall. IBC is a great way of practicing the abundance mindset and a powerful tool if you want to impact people more. When you look at it in its entirety, using your policy for gifting in the context of IBC is a fantastic gift. You will always get more than what you put in, and it will last a lifetime. Round Table | What if I Can’t Pay My Premiums
Today’s conversation is: “What if I can’t pay my premiums?” We’re going to bring out all the scary things that one can think of and hear what the coaches have to say. Let’s look at some of the thought processes that trigger the question:Scarcity mindset vs. being prudentOptions and flexibilityFear of commitmentIt depends on what ultimately you are trying to achieve and how you view your premiums. Do you consider your premiums as an expense or an investment? Are you building your insurance policy for the death benefit or for creating growth? Once you get this clear, that’s when you can carve out a path and create passive income streams. When you depend solely on your active income, the worst possible situation is losing that income or having zero income while needing to pay premiums. If you focus on building your passive income sources, you will overcome the fear and see what options are available to you. Round Table | How Long Do I Have to Pay My Premiums
We're back to talk through the intricate details of the Infinite Banking Concept. One question that usually comes up from people who have whole life insurance policies is: “How long do I have to pay my premiums?” Like most other questions we previously discussed, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer to how long you have to pay your premiums. Consider what’s more important to you: Return ON your money or return OF your money?Let’s reframe the question as follows:How long DO I HAVE to pay for my premiums? How long CAN I pay my premiums? How long SHOULD I pay my premiums? It all depends on how you view your premiums. If you treat it as an expense, then you’d want to stop paying it as soon as you can. But if you begin to look at premiums as a savings instrument where you’re putting it in a system that will work for you, giving you options and flexibility, then you will know the answer to that question.
