But the entrepreneurial mindset that had shown itself since childhood has only grown. In 2011, Rodrigo got in touch with Bitcoin technology and, believing in the innovative potential, became a co-founder of the exchange Mercado Bitcoin in 2013. In 5 years, MB reached 1.5 million customers, with Rodrigo holding the CEO position. In 2019, he sold his share in the exchange and start to build the Digitra.com project, aiming to launch a global product that represents a milestone in the cryptocurrency market. Audacity, a U.S. and Asia venture capitalist firm with Los Angeles-based offices has launched a $60M fund that is helping to break down barriers for cutting-edge media and ad-tech startups that are looking to capitalize on the shift from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. The fund is deeply entrenched in the Asian media ecosystem and invests across the Creator Economy, Media SaaS and Gaming sectors. Specifically, it invests in media-focused start-ups based in Asia looking to scale in the US. The fund is founded by Kabir Kochhar who has diverse experience as an investor and operator in the media realm. In his last role, Kochhar was general partner at Anthill, managing its India fund and his investments include multiple double digit exits over the past decade.
