Many Happy Miles and AMR Answers drop on alternate Tuesdays: Many Happy Miles is hosted by AMR co-founder Dimity McDowell and Sarah Wassner Flynn, and it celebrates and explores all types of forward movement, whether an epic hike, century ride, or your first brisk walk after a setback. The co-founding duo of Sarah and Dimity host AMR Answers, providing insightful responses to listeners’ called-in questions. All three shows are witty and conversational, making them great running partners because the AMR gals do all the talking—even on the uphills!

Sarah and her running partner, Molly Williams, welcome Leigh-Anne Zavalick, the gal at Saucony (our fav running brand!) in charge of women’s apparel. Due to technical difficulties, Molly is only on for the intro, but it’s a lively one about quarters found on recent runs. Then Sarah dives into grilling Leigh-Anne about everything from layering to reflective technology, as well as the surging popularity of capris. Leigh-Anne opines about how running apparel has changed as women switch from wearing it for an hour a day to all day. A lover of TMI on par with Sarah, Leigh-Anne talks about why and when to have a “no-panty party.” The guest, a first-time mom-to-be, says why a sports bra is, “a piece of equipment, not a piece of apparel,” and explains the shelf-life of your over-the-shoulder boulder-holder. Sarah welcomes back Adrienne Martini as co-host, and the gals kick off the show by talking about why they each love running—as well as knitted knockers (!). They are joined by Kristin Porter of the Iowa Girl Eats blog to talk about a variety of topics, including how Kristin handled going gluten-free after being diagnosed with Celiac disease after the birth of her son. Before the conversation turns to gluten-free eating and cooking, the mother runners marvel at the 64 (!!) treadmill workouts Kristin has on her site, and why she . After Adrienne reveals that her daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease at age four, she and Kristin marvel at dealing with a disease that can be managed through food. Kristin talks about the steep learning curve she dealt with when she first cut gluten out of her diet, and how it prompted her to write an e-book entitled Gluten-Free for Beginners.
