Happy Tuesday, Everyone! I’m so happy to be talking with today’s guest— the fabulous Madelaine Petsch! Madelaine played Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale and she is currently starring as Maya in The Strangers: Ch 2, reprising her role from The Strangers: Ch 1. She will also be seen as Charlie in Maintenance Required, which will be available globally on Prime Video October 8th! It was such a pleasure to get to know Madelaine a little bit better! We actually have a lot in common— we talk about growing up in the Pacific Northwest and getting involved with acting at a young age. We also discuss what it was like to be media-trained as a CW actor and how she is transitioning into producing more original work. I watched The Strangers: Ch 2 on the airplane and I’m NOT sure I recommend that experience (it was terrifying and I’m not a big horror person, especially in a confined space!). Hi Everyone, Happy Tuesday! Today’s guest is none other than Steven Ogg. Steven has created a niche playing characters that are a little (or a LOT) unhinged. He is best known for playing Trevor in Grand Theft Auto. He played Simon in Walking Dead, Pike in Snowpiercer, Rebus on Westworld, Sobchak on Better Caul Saul and many, many others. People see Steven and they think— whoa, this guy’s a little crazy. But the truth is, he is also a super sensitive artist and a real actor’s actor. I had so much fun getting into the weeds and sharing stories about working with directors and his philosophy of how to stick around as an actor when a show is being written week to week. Hi Everyone, Happy Tuesday! I am so excited for you to get to know today’s guest. When I first saw Brandon Rogers, it was at a con and he had a line of people waiting to see him that went out the door and down the block. I said to myself, “I have got to get to know this person.” If you don’t know Brandon’s work, he has been making incredible, hilarious short videos for YouTube for almost 20 years (since the beginning!). Jimmi Simpson is one of those actors that really makes you pay attention from the moment you see him onscreen. In addition to co-starring with me on the new project, Rahul has found so many new fans as a heartthrob in Mike’s other recent shows, including playing Owen in The Haunting of Bly Manor, Sheriff Hassan in Midnight Mass and Leo Usher in The Fall of The House of Usher. You may also know him from his roles as Ravi Chakrabarti in iZombie and Bri in The Life of Chuck, as well as his prolific video game voice work. We had a lot of fun talking about how he fell in love with movies and video games, while growing up as a South Asian kid in the UK and he found his way as an actor without a well-worn path to follow. Happy Tuesday! With a new version of Superman hitting movie theaters, I was so happy to chat with one of my favorite Men of Steel this week - you guys, it’s Brandon Routh! You know Brandon from playing Clark Kent/Superman in Superman Returns. He also played Daniel Shaw on Chuck, Todd Ingram in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Ray Palmer/The Atom across the Berlanti Arrow Universe. We talk about this in the interview, but I feel like Brandon’s version of Superman maybe didn’t get the appreciation it deserved at the time. It was interesting to talk with him about living up to the legacy of Christopher Reeve and how it feels to watch David Corenswet wear the blue cape. We also discuss how Brandon was able to find closure by playing Superman again in the 2019 Arrowverse crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” I really enjoyed this conversation and Brandon is such a lovely, grounded guy. I can’t wait to see him in his new film Ick, directed by one of my favorite directors Joseph Kahn (who also directed me in the short Power/Rangers).
