Our guest is Steve Bambury joining us all the way from Dubai! Steve has worked in education for 18 years, ultimately taking on the role of Head of Digital Learning and Innovation across the JESS Dubai school group. Steve now works as an independent technology consultant, supporting schools and other organisations to integrate technology effectively.

Ben is a former Mathematics teacher who has worked with schools, districts and organisations on implementing change through educational technology since 2012 when he took his own school through a Google for Education implementation. Ben now leads the Google relationship for AppsEvents, a Google for Education Professional Development Partner. This involves working directly with the Google for Education team to design, create and deliver on a range of training experiences. Including instructional design for experiences at conferences such as SXSW Edu, ISTE and BETT. He is a Google Educator, Trainer & Innovator, holds an MA Master Degree in Leading Innovation and Change in Education and tweets at @Mr_BRouse.

Darren Simons chats to us about Google Data Studio. Darren started his career in commercial radio after studying a national diploma in media. He went on to work at the BBC World Service as a Studio Manager before returning to his old college, Suffolk New College, in 2010 as a media lecturer.

We have got a double act joining us on the podcast and we have two men who are in that unenviable position of leading IT in their organisations. Both of them are newly minted Google Certified Innovators and are really keen to join up IT teams with teachers, making it easier to work together.

In this episode we are joined by Donnie Maclurcan. Donnie has been an entrepreneur since he was young: from selling his brothers artwork at the age of 8, trading on the stock market from the age of 12 and co-founding the post-growth institute, where he is now CEO. The Post Growth Institute is an international group exploring and inspiring paths to global prosperity that don’t rely on economic growth. The PGI primarily focuses on what economic systems will come after capitalism and what that system will look like.

Our guest today is Charlie James. Charlie is a Learning Technologist at Basingstoke College of Technology, a Google Reference College in the South East of England. A strong believer in student-centered learning, Charlie has an affinity for technologies and approaches which empower and accommodate all learners. Charlie also has a keen interest in AI and machine learning, social media and the uses of data within education, and is proud to be a Level 1 Google Educator.
