Teaser: Frot 525, Pulling The Mucus Plug On James Corden, With Joe And Laremy
Become a Patron at Patreon.com/Frotcast to hear the full episode!
Matt is still out on sa-brat-ical taking care of his newborn, but never fear, Joe Sinclitico and Laremy Legal are here, and we’ve got all kinds of #content. Joe has just discovered the concept of the mucus plug, so we all have a pretty good time with that one. After that, we get into the latest Olivia Wilde revelations, like giving away her dog and the fact that she apparently has a special salad dressing. From there we get into the celebrity nannying industry and how lucrative it apparently is (very!). That leads us into Danny Masterson’s trial, which made us realize that there are still some things about Scientology we didn’t know. Who knew! From there, Joe regales us with his review of ‘Thirteen Lives’ about the Thai cave boys, and Laremy has seen The Redeem Team which makes me rant about Kobe Bryant again. Oh, and of course we couldn’t leave without discuss James Corden, his restaurant ban, all-yolk omelets, and his poor attempts at damage control. Enjoy!

TEASER – Joey Avery And Torio Van Grol Find Shelly Miscavige
Get the full episode by becoming a patron at Patreon.com/Frotcast!
Matt is on baby duty, or “sabrattical” as I like to call it, but not to fear: we’ve got Joey Avery, The San Diego Hammer, and Torio Van Grol from the Hesby Street podcast to mix it up. First of all, Torio, as a San Diego native, objects to Joey being known as the San Diego Hammer. But once that’s out of the way, the three of us come together like a majestic Voltron to do some very fine podding on subjects such as Kanye West praising Hitler and going “death con 3 on the jews,” and whether our tweets are doing enough to raise awareness to the problem of global antisemitism. I also pick their brains about what it’s like living in the shadow of the Scientology Center in East Hollywood, and whether they can help find Shelly Miscavige. We touch on whether Torio is worried about getting beat up at the Dodgers game and whether $28 is too much or just the right amount to spend on a lunch at Taco Bell. Either way, a fine time is going to be had by all.

[TEASER] Mel Gibson helps Shia LaBeouf discover Jesus
Hey all, new frotcast is here and you can listen to the whole thing on Patreon.
This week, comedian Joe Sinclitico returns to the Frotcast to discuss all the hottest new #content, including a new Josh Duhamel movie with Mel Gibson, the ideal form of “Hollywood Dumb Guy,” Tom Hanks’ son Chet Haze speaking at a Recovery Fest in Winnipeg (and what causes a famous son to become either a Colin Hanks or a Chet), the latest wild stuff that Ezra Miller has been up to (including the time he stole a polygamist’s wife in Hawaii), and finally, we round things out with a discussion of the 2011 documentary The Hollywood Complex. This is a documentary about child actors that Joe’s wife discovered it on Amazon Prime and it is absolutely wild. It’s the perfect snapshot of pre-#MeToo Hollywood, the very last time casting directors would ever be willing to say this kind of stuff on camera, and all in all is the movie that seems most like a Christopher Guest movie that isn’t actually a Christopher Guest movie. It is Exhibit A for why child actors probably shouldn’t be a thing.
Join now to hear it! Here’s a teaser in which Joe Sinclitico describes a new Shia Labeouf movie.

Frotcast Bonus: Ti West on ‘Pearl,’ ‘X’, And ‘Maxxxine’
Well, it’s that time of the month again, free feed Frotcast fans. That’s right, I did an interview and now I’m sharing it with you. Perhaps you saw X when it came out in March? That was about a group of kids making a porn in the seventies who travel out to an isolated farmhouse where terror ensues. Now, just (*counts on fingers*) six months later, the sequel is opening. Or rather, the prequel. Pearl tells the origin story for the creepy old lady played by Mia Goth in X (who also played the porn starlet), again starring Goth in a story set in 1918, just after the Spanish Flu pandemic. Both movies were directed by my interview subject, Ti West. If you’re a long-time Frotcast listener, you may remember West from my interviews with him for The Sacrament and In A Valley Of Violence. Which is to say that Ti and I known each other for a bit, even though 90% of our conversations are generally about MMA, including the very end of this one. I admit it feels (and probably even sounds) a little weird when I do my Teri Gross act, but I’m also genuinely curious about the insane process of shooting two (and soon to be three, since the X/Pearl sequel, Maxxxine was greenlit shortly after we recorded this) horror movies back to back in New Zealand. And it’s nice to hear it from someone you know who isn’t just giving you the stock press tour answers.

TEASER: God Save The Queen, God Save Harry Styles
(This is a teaser. For the full episode, become a Patron at Patreon.com/Frotcast).
God save the Queen! The fascist regime! She kicked off before the Frot… Now Vince and Matt have lots of thoughts…
That’s right, this week, the Queen has died and we welcomed all-star Frotcast guest Jessica Sele back to Frottingham Palace to talk all about it. Was she a good queen? Was she a bad queen? Did she do an imperialism? Is The Crown real life? Most of all, what does Frank Stallone think about it all?
Once we got through discussing the Liz and Frank of it, we got down to discussing more pressing geopolitical matters. Such as the Don’t Worry Darling press tour, all the dumb things Harry Styles says, whether he spat on Chris Pine, and whether Olivia Wilde is the real villain here or if it’s just a typical case of the media trying to bring down down a powerful woman who named herself after Oscar Wilde. Hey, remember Booksmart?
Believe it or not, we managed to squeeze in ALL THAT before we even got to our Big Review Of The Week™, of Rings Of Power, the new Tolkien show about how Elves just wanna have fun. Matt is a piggy, so he loved it. I’m Peter Jackson hater and I only watched the first 47 minutes so I was bored. Jessica, who’s some kind of damned Tolkien scholar, was in between. More importantly, she actually has some insights into what that old limey fart was actually on about in all those books. We wrap things up with a spirited debate over whether this latest round of “The racists hate the woke show!” is worth paying attention to. We really think you’ll enjoy it. But if you don’t, remember: no refunds.

TEASER: Frotcast 520 – ‘House Of The Dragon’ And Awful New Startups, With Jessica Sele
To hear the full episode, subscribe to the Frotcast at Patreon dot com slash frotcast.
This week on the Frotcast, comedian Jessica Sele joins Matt and Vince to discuss oh so many things. Things such as House Of The Dragon, the new HBO prequel for Game Of Thrones about House Targaryen. It opened with a dragon and I went “ugh” inside and then I watched the entire thing. Does that mean I have to apologize to all the Baby Yoda people I made fun of because I’ve proved that I’m just as much of a piggie? We also discuss the rottweiler that may or may not have caused Sylvester Stallone’s divorce, as well as the bull mastiff that Sylvester Stallone got tattooed on his arm over his wife’s face. Which is a normal thing that everyone does. Finally, we talk about a new startup that promises to make any user sound white and American over the phone, regardless of their actual voice. Technology, is there anything it can’t do?
