RFQ or request for quote is a standard order type in finance, now people are beginning to take notice that the automated market maker AMM design for decentralized exchanges may not be great for the user or the liquidity provider. Intents have been operation in the spot markets with protocols such as CoW Swap, 1Inch Fusion, Hashflow, UniswapX and 0x Protocol for quite some time (a lot of these would use an RFQ model).
