We are not called to walk alone. Pastor Becky Johnson concludes our series on community and reminds us that having the covering of community isn’t just for our own benefit, but also for the strengthening of others. Community is costly, but the fruit we will see in our lives because of it is transformational.

In this episode, Micah, one of our Jesus Culture Sacramento missionaries, shares a powerful message on the resurrection of Jesus—the lynchpin of our faith. More than a martyr or moral teacher, Jesus is the risen Lord who conquered death, gives us eternal hope, and sends us out to see and serve others with that same hope.

God uses community to shape and form your life to look like Jesus. Pastor Banning continues his teaching on the importance of biblical community and why we need it in our lives.

Biblical community is countercultural and challenges our Western value of independence. Pastor Banning teaches us that our lives as Christians are meant to be lived, celebrated, and challenged within the context of community, as we are on the journey of becoming more like Jesus.

Obedience is the doorway into the blessed life. Pastor Michael Brodeur teaches us how obedience to God and discipleship are the same thing. Obedience requires that we partner with the Holy Spirit in our compliance. God will never make us do anything, but He will always partner with us to help us change our desires and actions. Is there a pattern of disobedience in your life?

Following Jesus is a radical call to obedience and submission. Pastor Banning Liebscher teaches us that the mark of a disciple is a desire to obey God. If we want to be radically obedient in our lifetime, we must have radical intimacy with Jesus, because our willingness to do what God asks of us is directly connected to us encountering His love.

Pastor Banning continues his teaching on the importance of the Word of God in our daily lives. As followers of Jesus, we will not experience the fullness of life that God wants to release to us through the Bible if we do not approach it properly. When we approach reading the Bible with humility and allow our hearts to receive the words and then go and act upon them, there is blessing that comes upon our lives.

Jesus has the power to run everything from governments to galaxies, but at the center of who He is and what He does is the church. Pastor Jeremy Johnson, Lead Pastor of Fearless Church in Los Angeles, reminds us that we are called to be a part of a family of believers that look and sound like Jesus. We can’t say we love God and not love His bride, the Church.

Understanding the names of God gives us access to the power of God revealed in the name. God names himself for a reason. Pastor Brandon Cormier, Lead Pastor of Zeal Church in Colorado Springs, brings a timely and powerful word to our church about the importance of recognizing God’s names and being able to hear when He calls ours. When He speaks, and what He speaks is vital to our relationship with Him.

Spiritual hunger is the byproduct of hope rising in our lives. Andy Byrd, co-founder of Youth With A Mission’s Fire and Fragrance, Circuit Riders, and co-leader of The Send, encourages our church family that it is possible to have so much hunger for God in our lives that we never lose our zeal. God wants to reconnect the heart of the Church to His presence, as we are on the verge of a global spiritual awakening, and spiritual hunger is key.
