On this week's episode I tell Russ about the case of Arne Johnson. This case is also well known as "The devil made me do it" case. Arne was an all around nice guy who committed a horrible crime. To police the case was open and shut, but according to Arne, his girlfriend Debbie and Ed and Lorraine Warren, Arne was innocent because the devil made him do it. As most of you know, Russ doesn't believe in anything supernatural especially angels and demons, so I already knew what I was getting myself into with this one! Moral of the story.... On this week's episode I tell Russ about the infamous case of Lizzie Borden. This case is super popular around this time of year. It's a classic " who done it" type of case...a little bit of American folklore. But did Lizzie Borden actually kill her parents? Or could it have been someone else? On this week's episode I tell Russ about the brutal murder of Faith Hedgepeth. Faith was a 19 year old UNC Chapel Hill student who was brutally murdered in her apartment in 2012. There are a ton of details and twists and turns that just don't make a lot of sense. This case has been unsolved for the last 9 years but just last week there was an arrest made so I really wanted to tell Russ about this one! Moral of this story... I'm on a wrongful conviction kick lately and this case is another example of how easy it is for an innocent person to be sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit. Patty Stallings had one heart break after another but persevered through it all.
