Completing the Record With Lynn Cohick, Sandra Glahn, and Nijay Gupta

In this podcast, we revisit some old friends, Lynn Cohick, Sandra Glahn, and Nijay Gupta. Each has contributed in their own way to fill out the story of the Church. Church history often focuses on the men who were the leaders for the last 2,000 years, but what of the women? They occupied unique roles in their day as leaders, patrons, and martyrs in their own right. "The Stone Chapel Podcast" is part of the ChurchLeaders Podcast Network. New Evidence About Jesus and Josephus With Tom Schmidt

Josephus, a Jewish historian born not long after Jesus’ crucifixion, may well have had connections to people who witnessed the “trial” of Jesus in Jerusalem. That is part of the findings of a new book written by Tom Schmidt (Oxford University Press, 2025). Schmidt, a historian of early Christianity, goes back to the Testimony of Flavius Josephus regarding Jesus of Nazareth (Antiquities 18.63-64) and interprets it against the exegetical grain of recent scholarship to give us a more robust and accurate reading.
