Jimmy and Brett are back from NYC and the US Open and are ready to discuss everything they saw on finals weekend. Joined by traveling buddy and friend of the show Spencer Segura, they break it all down. Zverev gets his second major of the summer and has quickly changed his career narrative from the best to not win one, to a first ballot hall of famer. Ben Shelton had a great two week run, beating quality opponents at every round along the way. He just ran into a better player in the final in Zverev. Ben is getting closer to being the first American man to win a major since Andy Roddick in 2003, what can he do to improve? Elena Rybakina was supposed to be hurt coming into Flushing Meadows. But boy did she play some amazing tennis to take home the trophy and become the newest member of the #1 club. Aryna Sabalenka looked good getting to the US Open finals, but just ran into a player who was player better and was more focused. Sascha Zverev was finally able to throw off all the demons of past majors to get his first grand slam title in Paris. Mirra Andreeva is a major champion at 19, and it feels like this will be the first of many for her career. Brett and Jimmy check in from vacation to give their opinions on all the craziness going on in Paris at Roland Garros. If Sascha Zverev can't win his first major now then it might never happen. He is the dominant favorite to come out with the trophy but will old demons creep in at the worst time? Aryna Sabalenka once again failed to finish in a grand slam match where she was in total control. This has become a unfortunate trend for the world #1 the past two years. It's a crazy dichotomy where on one hand she is by far the most dominant player on the WTA tour, but also has a hard time taking advantage of her chances to add to her grand slam total. Flavio Cobolli faces off against fellow Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the top half semi making for a great opportunity for both players to make it further that they have ever been before.
