Zainab Boladale
This Friday's episode of "Creatively Me" sees Daniel joined by RTE presenter, journalist, filmmaker & newly published author Zainab Boladale.
Zainab has written for publications such as The Irish Independent, and will be known by Irish TV viewers for her work on news2day, where she became the first person of African heritage to become a news anchor on RTE, as well as on Nationwide. She wrote and directed the short film "Worthy" and most recently launched "Braids Take A Day", a young-adult novel where she explores themes of self-discovery and culture in a way that is fresh, fun & uniquely her own.
On this episode, Zainab Boladae will be chatting to Daniel about how exploring different cultures impacts her work, combining levity with heavier themes in her work & the value of taking time away and looking after yourself when in the midst of a project.

Asbestos
In the first conversation on Season Two of "Creatively Me" Daniel is joined by Asbestos, an Irish street-artist whose work has been seen across the Irish urban landscape since 2003.
Asbestos is best known for the "Lost" series of prints, the Cork City mural "What Is Home" and a series of chalk drawings on blackboards that allow the public to engage and alter the piece as they wish. This work, and more of Asbestos's artistry is featured heavily in the new Irish documentary-film "Don't Forget To Remember" which chronicles his mother's lived experience with Alzheimers.
On this episode, Asbestos discusses the makings of himself as as an artist, the vulnerabilities and themes in his work and the importance of telling one's own story.
Plus, he'll give listeners a glimpse into making a film funded by the Irish Arts Council.

Édaín O’Donnell
For this penultimate episode of Season #1, Daniel welcomes Edain O’Donnell. Edain is an artist and creative director who has worked on the art department on several respected and high profile film and television projects. She has contributed to Irish classics such as The Wind That Shakes the Barley. She’s recently worked on Holding, the television adaptation of the Graham Norton book of the same name.
It was during her time working on that project that Edain pursued the idea of setting up a film studio, which she is now the co-founder of alongside a slew of talented Irish artists and filmmakers. The West Cork Film Studios is described as a new leading light in TV and Film Production in Ireland, and is simply emblematic of the tremendous talent this country has in the world of visual media.
Today Edain will be chatting about her own creativity, the process of establishing the studio and will give an insight into not only what it offers others, but what it has given her on both a professional and personal level.
