06 Jun 24 – Total Consecration to the Holy Face of Jesus

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 12:28-34 - One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked Him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?" Jesus replied, "The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." The scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You are right in saying, He is One and there is no other than He. And to love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding, He said to him, "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." And no one dared to ask Him any more questions. 05 Jun 24 – Witch Hunt Against Trump an Epic Failure

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 12:18-27 - Some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and put this question to Him, saying, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us, If someone's brother dies, leaving a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife and raise up descendants for his brother. Now there were seven brothers. The first married a woman and died, leaving no descendants. So the second brother married her and died, leaving no descendants, and the third likewise. And the seven left no descendants. Last of all the woman also died. At the resurrection when they arise whose wife will she be? For all seven had been married to her.” Jesus said to them, "Are you not misled because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven. As for the dead being raised, have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God told him, I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not God of the dead but of the living. You are greatly misled." 04 Jun 24 – Gentleman v. Molester – Which does the Media Attack?

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 12:13-17 - Some Pharisees and Herodians were sent to Jesus to ensnare Him in His speech. They came and said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are a truthful man and that You are not concerned with anyone’s opinion. You do not regard a person’s status but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it lawful to pay the census tax to Caesar or not? Should we pay or should we not pay?” Knowing their hypocrisy He said to them, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to look at.” They brought one to Him and He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They replied to Him, “Caesar’s.” So Jesus said to them, “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” They were utterly amazed at Him. 03 Jun 24 – What I’d Ask the Pope if I Had 10 Minutes with Him

Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Mk 12:1-12 - Jesus began to speak to the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders in parables. "A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenant farmers and left on a journey. At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants to obtain from them some of the produce of the vineyard. But they seized him, beat him, and sent him away empty-handed. Again he sent them another servant. And that one they beat over the head and treated shamefully. He sent yet another whom they killed. So, too, many others; some they beat, others they killed. He had one other to send, a beloved son. He sent him to them last of all, thinking, 'They will respect my son.' But those tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' So they seized him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard. What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come, put the tenants to death, and give the vineyard to others. Have you not read this Scripture passage:   The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes?" They were seeking to arrest Him, but they feared the crowd, for they realized that He had addressed the parable to them. So they left Him and went away. Father Charles Murr joins Terry to discuss important questions facing confused faithful in the Church

31 May 24 – Jesus Thirsts – The Miracle of the Eucharist

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Lk 1:39-56 - Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” And Mary said: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has looked with favor on His lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is His Name. He has mercy on those who fear Him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his Arm, He has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty. He has come to the help of His servant Israel for He has remembered His promise of mercy, the promise He made to our fathers, to Abraham and His children for ever.” Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home. 30 May 24 – What’s the Controversy with Harrison Butker?

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 10:46-52 - As Jesus was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a sizable crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, sat by the roadside begging. On hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, son of David, have pity on me. And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he kept calling out all the more, “Son of David, have pity on me.” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you.” He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus. Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.” Jesus told him, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Him on the way. 29 May 24 – Twenty Eucharistic Stories of Devotion to Jesus

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 10:32-45 - The disciples were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went ahead of them. They were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. Taking the Twelve aside again, He began to tell them what was going to happen to Him. "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn Him to death and hand Him over to the Gentiles who will mock Him, spit upon Him, scourge Him, and put Him to death, but after three days He will rise." Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and said to Him, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask of You." He replied, "What do you wish Me to do for you?" They answered Him, "Grant that in Your glory we may sit one at Your right and the other at Your left." Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the chalice that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?" They said to him, "We can." Jesus said to them, "The chalice that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; but to sit at My right or at My left is not Mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared." When the ten heard this, they became indignant at James and John. Jesus summoned them and said to them, "You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many." Memorial of Saint Paul VI, Pope Saint Paul, pray for us! 28 May 24 – Priest Bites Woman’s Hand to Stop Sacrilege Against Holy Eucharist

Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 10:28-31 - Peter began to say to Jesus, "We have given up everything and followed You." Jesus said, "Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for My sake and for the sake of the Gospel who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age: houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. 24 May 24 – What Will Heaven Be Like?

What will heaven be like? Jesse Romero and Terry Barber are wise in turning to Saint Thomas Aquinas' Suma Theologica for the answer. As Doctor of the Catholic Church, Aquinas describes what Heaven is and how it works. There is no time for silly questions like "Will dogs go to heaven?". We want to know the crazier things, we want to find out about Glory! Today's Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Mk 10:1-12 - Jesus came into the district of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds gathered around Him and, as was His custom, He again taught them. The Pharisees approached Him and asked, "Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?" They were testing Him. He said to them in reply, "What did Moses command you?" They replied, "Moses permitted a husband to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her." But Jesus told them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." In the house the disciples again questioned Jesus about this. He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery." Bishop Sheen quote of the day Terry discusses heaven as described in the Catechism of the Catholic Church

23 May 24 – Catholicism: The Most Persecuted Religion in America

There will always be Persecution in the Catholic Church. Even in a Christian nation, it seems that Catholics are not safe. The backlash from Harrison Butker's Speech is the latest example of how troubling it can get to speak even the most basic truths about the Faith. How often in public do we find ourselves biting our tongue to avoid persecution? Terry Barber and Jesse Romero talk about how Catholics are treated in the United States and the World. As members of the Catholic Church, Barber and Romero never hesitate to speak the truth with clarity and charity. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Mk 9:41-50 - Jesus said to His disciples: "Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward. "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were put around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than with two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut if off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled than with two feet to be thrown into Gehenna. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. "Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another." Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2) Today in America, Catholicism is the most persecuted religion, the backlash Harrison Butker has received is just the most recent example https://spectator.org/in-todays-america-catholic-is-the-most-persecuted-religion/ 3) The Biden reelection strategy https://victorhanson.com/the-biden-reelection-strategy/ 4) DeSantis administration to light up bridge in red, white, and blue instead of "pride" colors https://catholicvote.org/desantis-admin-to-light-up-bridge-in-red-white-and-blue-instead-of-pride-colors/
