Crime Curious

Mary Johnson (also known as Mary Davis) was last seen almost one year ago, on November 25th of 2020. Since that date, very little information is known as what what happened to her. Last seen walking with a man en route to a friend’s house, Mary never made it there. Mary’s case captures an example of the lack of information and coverage on the cases of murdered and missing Indigenous women. Ashley Loring Heavyrunner had big plans for her future. She was smart, kind hearted, and passionate about helping others.  June 5th of 2017 was the last time that Ashley’s family heard from her. Since that day, it’s as if Ashley had vanished.  Ashley’s family continues to search for her with very few leads or answers. We hope that sharing her story and her name will bring awareness, to not only her, but the thousands of murdered and missing Indigenous women who also have unsolved cases in the United States. Before 1991, Dan and Fran Keller were just an All- American couple running their own day care business in the town of Oak Hill, Texas.
