But let’s face it, that debate – with the exception of DeSantis – is actually a good reflection of the Republican Party. We have no guiding principles of what we believe in; we are full of grifters with records that contradict their statements. Today, I read a column I wrote 10 years ago warning about the “big tent” GOP and McConnell and note how nothing has changed since then. What have we always wanted in a leader? Someone with courage, knowledge of the issues, unyielding principles, good personnel choices, and the ability to fight through and articulate during a period of adversity. On those fronts, the choice between Trump and DeSantis could not be clearer. I play several clips today contrasting the two of them on their desire and ability to fight for us on the issues that actually matter in the way they matter. Did the Constitution and its classical liberal values fail us? Today, I make the case that although imperfect, our Constitution was indeed the best system and there is no better alternative. However, no form of government can survive an ignorant, complacent, and uninformed population. I argue that not only do we have "normie" swing voters who are uninformed to the gravity of our societal collapse, we face "normie Republicans" who are completely uninformed about what their own party is doing. This has allowed Trump to get away with so many policy betrayals. Few people outside Twitter even follow these things. This is the same reason why nearly every incumbent RINO wins re-election in deep red states. We are joined today by Daniel Probst, the nephew of the first known victim, Dr. Cathryn Sinclair, who was smothered to death in April 2016. Probst explains how he filed a homicide and robbery complaint immediately, yet there was never an effort to pursue the case by an understaffed police department, the medical examiner, or the senior living facility management.
