The Rising Star for South Dakota Governor | 4/30/25
The economy was in bad shape under Biden and will continue to slide into stagflation until we get spending back to pre-COVID levels. I go through an assortment of statements from various Republicans demonstrating how they don’t have plans to meaningfully cut a single program. Next, we’re joined by South Dakota House Speaker Jon Hansen (R) and his speaker pro tem, Karla Lems, who have announced their run for governor and lieutenant governor, respectively. They discuss their record of fighting for landowners and how they plan to take it to the next level in the executive branch. Hansen is promising to make South Dakota the graveyard for the Green New Deal, stand up to the special interests, block left-wing initiative petitions, and cut property taxes. How is he different from other candidates? He actually single-handedly fought for these ideals when it was hard and when it actually mattered. Learn more about your ad choices. Fighting for Religious Liberty … in Oklahoma?! | 4/29/25
Everyone is commenting on the Canadian elections, but what most on the Right are missing is that we are on our way to becoming like Canada in the sense that we can’t elect conservatives even in culturally conservative parts of the nation. I raise concerns about Greg Abbott’s comments that Trump will endorse Texas RINOs. Next, we’re joined by Nathan Dahm, director of the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus, who briefs us on a Supreme Court case stemming from liberal Republican Attorney General Gentner Drummond suing the state school board for approving charter school status for a Catholic school. What’s worse is that the state supreme court sided with him! Dahm explains why Oklahoma’s institutions continue to be liberal despite the state’s voting patterns. The Freedom Caucus is battling entrenched RINOs who are blocking judicial reform and education reform and are also trying to gum up the primaries. Learn more about your ad choices. A Penetrating Look at the First 100 Days | 4/28/25
Trump came into office with enormous political capital and an unprecedented bully pulpit. He could have used that to push transformational things through budget reconciliation and to build a right-wing party with better primary endorsements. It’s not that he didn’t signal a lot of good policies in a vacuum; it’s that he chose to blow his capital on the tariff gambit, which has now drained his political support without having enacted a single major policy. I express my concern about where we will land in two and four years from now due to the lack of pressuring Congress, ignoring the courts, and making the right endorsements in red states. Meanwhile, there are always superficial, aesthetic distractions that keep the grift corps from demanding that we right the ship and actually fulfill the mandate. Learn more about your ad choices. The Winning Message Against Medicaid Grift | 4/25/25
We begin today with the latest insane court rulings and how conservative media is a day late and a dollar short in dealing with it. Also, there are some disturbing trends at HHS, including the continuation of Biden’s policies on dangerous abortion drugs. Next, we’re joined by Paul Winfree, president of the Economic Policy Innovation Center and budget director at the OMB under Trump’s first administration, for a discussion on Medicaid. He explains how Republicans must attack the perverse incentives under Medicaid expansion that allow states and the health care cartel to use the program as an ATM to line their pockets at the expense of the most vulnerable. He shows what is driving the uncontrollable cost of the program and how Republicans are shortsighted for refusing to pick a fight on structural reforms to the program. What Happened to All the Things We Cared About in 2024? | 4/24/25
Invasion and inflation. Those were the two big campaign issues. So today, we conduct an examination of where things stand on both of those issues. The reality is that the courts are crushing Trump on deportations, and unless he stands up to the courts, the campaign promises will fall flat. I call on Trump to issue an “executive review” panel to joust with the courts and also pledge not to send out the marshals against red-state officials who ignore rulings they deem unlawful. We also discuss the political situation in Florida and how the vile uniparty RINOs hate DeSantis for using the machinery of government for the betterment of the people and to move the state to the right. What about inflation? We need to stop gaslighting people into thinking we’ve solved the spending problem. I go through some economic data and juxtapose to congressional budget plans to show how we are going backward. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What’s Next for Gun Rights? | 4/23/25
Republicans and their cheering fans in Con Inc. media are a bunch of listless vessels with no ideological direction on most issues. The one shining exception is the gun rights movement. We’re joined today by Luis Valdes, national spokesman for Gun Owners of America, for a presentation on where things stand with gun rights both federally and in the states. Valdes celebrates numerous policy and legal successes of GOA, but also warns that there is more to be done. The gaping hole in gun rights is the gun-free zones. As a Floridian, he discusses the lessons of the FSU campus shooter and how RINOs in Florida support gun control without campaigning on it. Also, as a former police officer, Valdes is passionate about the need to treat civilians and police equally. He confronts some of the arguments from police organizations in support of various gun control laws. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Why the Supreme Court Will Not Save Us from Lower-Court Tyranny | 4/22/25
Either Trump ignores the courts, or his presidency will end in failure. It’s that simple. Today, I go through a litany of immigration cases to show how far the Overton window has moved in the courts. So even if the Supreme Court magnanimously walks back a few of the rulings, we will still be playing behind par. Also, once again, the Supreme Court appears to be ready to overturn the conservative Fifth Circuit on a health care case, but not overturn liberal circuits. Finally, I discuss the lack of a plan to fortify red states against the hell that is coming our way. RINOs are blocking everything DeSantis wants to do in that regard. Relatedly, I discuss how marijuana is destroying everything in its path and how it’s disgusting that most Republicans refuse to block it in red states. Learn more about your ad choices. The Blackrobes Are Coming! | 4/21/25
This weekend, we celebrated the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. Our Founders fought the mightiest military power at the time over a fraction of the tyranny we face from black-robed judges who have no power whatsoever to rule over the other branches. We’re joined by legal expert Josh Hammer to delve into the unprecedented Supreme Court ruling over the weekend demanding that Trump halt removals under the Alien Enemies Act. Josh breaks down the procedural history to show how this is not a lower-court problem, but a Supreme Court problem. Once again, SCOTUS will not save us; it is part of the problem. He also explains the rationale for his new endeavor at the Article III Project, which seeks to rectify the mistakes of the Republican judicial selection mentality of the past. He offers three criteria he is looking for in Trump judicial nominees. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Sickening Persecution of a South Dakota Rancher | 4/18/25
We begin today with a free-for-all Friday, going through an assortment of news of the day. Also, there is new data regarding the decline of religion in America, and it’s not pretty. Next, we turn to the persecution of Charles and Heather Maude, a South Dakota ranching family facing up to 10 years in prison for simply maintaining a fence that was built before they were born. Given that the Maudes are under gag order, we’re joined by Heather’s parents, Tom and Randi Hamilton, who discuss how the Maudes were given no warning of how to rectify the land dispute with the U.S. Forest Service and instead were served an indictment without the presentation of evidence. Their lives have been upended for a year. We’re also joined by South Dakota House Speaker Jon Hansen, who speaks about his efforts to raise awareness with local elected Republicans and how this is a part of a broader assault on ranchers. Why is the Trump administration continuing this indictment three months into the new presidency? You can donate to the Maudes here:https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-the-maude-family-preserve-their-legacy Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Why Health Care Sucks and What Ought to Be Done | 4/17/25
Our health care system sucks, and we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fix it. Yet Republicans are promising to keep every penny of Medicaid and Obamacare. Meanwhile, district judges continue to halt the immigration agenda. So what are we accomplishing? We’re joined today by health care regulatory compliance expert Reg Hislop for an important health care discussion. Hislop notes that there is a $1 trillion annual tab just on administrative compliance with government health care. He also paints a picture of what true health care reform, particularly Medicaid, looks like and why, absent such reforms, we will never solve the health care crisis or the budget crisis. Waste, fraud, and abuse are not bugs in the cog but a feature of the program that must be reformed. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
