Believe it or not, the FDA did not actually fully approve the Pfizer shot on Monday. What it approved was the parallel BioNTech version, which is not available commercially! Today, we weave together the two issues of the day into the same story. Republicans have joined Democrats in failing us on both issues. I explain how our response to 9/11 was exactly like our response to COVID. Not only was everything we should have done NOT pursued, but terribly painful policies that should have been avoided came full-circle and made the problem worse, for both terrorism and the virus. When we should have focused on locking down immigration, we focused on refereeing Islamic civil wars and then bringing in unvetted people from both sides.
