Episode 54 - The Sony Open in Hawaii, is a PGA Tour stalwart tournament. A coastal, Par 70, where scoring over recent years has been low. The first full-field event of 2019, we have a great mix of top names and Tour rank and file players, all looking for a strong week in Honolulu. Episode 53 - Golf in 2019 on the PGA Tour starts with the traditional winners-only event, the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Played on the Plantation Course, at Kapalua in Hawaii, the event sees a short field of 34 vying for the first title of 2019. Episode 52 - Our last podcast of 2018 and the European Tour reaches it's climax with the DP World Tour Championship at the Earth Course in Dubai. No Justin Rose, but Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Thorbjorn Olesen, Henrik Stenson, Alex Noren and Race to Dubai leader Francesco Molinari are in-attendance. Throw-in American 'studs' Patrick Reed and Xander Schauffele and we are in for a treat. Over in the United States the PGA Tour plays it's last tournament of 2018 - the RSM Classic on the Georgia coast. With the Dunlop Phoenix in Japan and the Australian Open we have plenty to look forward to this week. Episode 51 - The European Tour meanders towards it's close with a Rolex Series event in South Africa - the Nedbank Challenge. Rory and Sergio attend with the like of home-grown stars, defending champion Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen. To be honest with the Race to Dubai almost at a close, it's a relatively poor field, but the Gary Player Country Club always serves up some excellent action at what is South Africa's biggest tournament. The PGA Tour takes it's second trip to Mexico with the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Episode 49 - Fresh from a profitable week with Woodland + Chesters we move onto the final World Golf Championship tournament of 2018 - the HSBC Champions at Sheshan International, Shanghai, China. Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Rose and McIlroy headline at the HSBC, but as you woudl expect there is plenty of quality behind them. The 20/1 - 25/1 price point has been the sweet-spot at this event recently and Paul takes you through his 4 selections. The Sanderson Farms Championship is the alternate event on the PGA Tour, featuring the standard weak field we expect. Triple-digit winners have won this since the tournament moved to Jackson Country Club in Mississippi at a true putting-contest of a tournament. Episode 48 - A star-studded field in South Korea for the second-running of the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges. A huge purse and a few appearance fees have attracted Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Hideki Matsuyama and Marc Leishman - the week before the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai. Nine Bridges proved a hard course to tame 12 months ago so we should be in for a great tournament. The European Tour is coming towards it climax with the last tournament in Europe this weekend, which sees the Race to Dubai come to a close for those lowdown in the standings. The Andalucia Valderrama Masters takes place on the course the tournament is named after, which is a tough, classical, tree-lined track which can never be dominated. Sergio Garcia at 4/1 is the favourite with Shane Lowry at 12/1 telling you all you need to know about the field strength which is a shame.
