Madusa

This week I'm honored to be joined by a true PAVER in WWE Hall of Fame wrestler & Monster Jam star, Madusa! We start this bad boy out with a cocktail I dubbed Madusa on the Rocks, but Madusa comes up with even a better name. Then we sit down and get into Madusa's near 20-year tenure with Monster Jam. We find out just how she was able to carve out a niche for herself in the monster truck world, the struggles of having absolutely ZERO training before starting, and the fun pranks that she pulled on the guys before their races.I pull out a nice surprise for Madusa myself, as we introduce a new drinking game to the mix - Cocktail Checkers. Things get heated as Madusa's true competitive nature shines through during the game. We continue the chat by getting into the beginnings of Madusa's wrestling career; from the first training session, to her debut in Japan, sketchy cage fighting in Thailand, and her eventual rise to the WWF as Alundra Blayze.Madusa reflects back on the struggles that women faced in the sports entertainment industry, and how she was able to help pave the way for where women's wrestling is today. She lets the TRUTH out about her infamous phone call with friend-of-the-show Eric Bischoff (sorry, Eric!) Truth be told, there's so much to unpack in this chat that this little write up won't even do it justice. Just know - I think I made a new best friend, and hope you enjoy the UNCUT chat with Madusa!Explore more Drinks With Johnny:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drinkswithjohnnyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/drinkswithjohnnyTwitter: https://twitter.com/drinkswjohnnyShop: https://www.drinkswithjohnny.com

Darby Allin

Our favorite hoodlum Darby Allin returns to the show for an in-depth interview about his life in & outside of the wrestling ring. Of course we'd be remiss not to talk about the TNT Champion's spectacular cinematic showcase with legend Sting. Darby reveals his first interactions with the Stinger, and how his background as a (failed) film student helped to influence the promos we see on AEW programming.Darby explains what led to his decision to ultimately drop out of film school. Here's a spoiler: it involves an inflatable boobie and a bathroom stall. Yup, that's a real thing. We take an even deeper dive into the absurd as Darby recalls his ridiculous antics as a dollar store employee. Broken feet, TV commercials, and chocolate pudding are just a taste of the chaos...It wouldn't be a true Darby Allin interview without someone trying to slide across the floor unnoticed mid-chat. We also get into Darby's favorite punk rock groups, his thoughts on Gigi Dolin, why you'll never see him wrestling in a high school gymnasium, and what it was like to work with the late great Brodie Lee. There's so much packed into this episode, that we even had to bring back The Hangover - and believe us, you DO NOT want to miss this one!Watch The Hangover #3 w/ Darby Allin HERE: https://youtu.be/FzsYKJMvIvUExplore more Drinks With Johnny:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drinkswithjohnnyFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/drinkswithjohnnyTwitter: https://twitter.com/drinkswjohnnyShop: https://www.drinkswithjohnny.com
