53. Julie Friedman: Founder of Young, Wild, & Friedman
On this episode of How'd She Do That? Emily welcomes Julie Friedman, founder of Young, Wild, & Friedman onto the show!
A few years ago, one of Julie's children was diagnosed with a speech disorder coupled with severe anxiety and her doctor recommended incorporating more sensory play opportunities into their daily routine. Julie got to work and began reading and researching ways she could help her family. She started making play dough and assembling sensory bins and saw first-hand how sensory experiences helped calm her child's frustrations.
In 2017 she started Young, Wild & Friedman as a blog to help other parents integrate sensory play into the lives of their own children. Julie's story is heartwarming, informative, and encouraging! What started as a small family project can now be found in the homes of celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Joanna Gaines, and Cameran Eubanks to name a few!
Julie's story reminds us that you're never too old to play and that a mother's love can move mountains. We know you'll enjoy this episode!
