THE BARDCAST - Sarah de Nordwall 23. Taking Risks with Grace

Have you ever thought of public transport and poetry as vehicles for Divine Mercy? Today we explore a few examples of taking a risk after praying, which turned out to be horizons of hope that might also inspire you in your writing, your holiday travels and your commute! THE BARDCAST airs live and can be listened to on www.RadioMariaEngland.uk or digital radio in London, Bristol, South Birmingham and Cambridge at 3:15pm after the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sundays and 8pm on Fridays. Each week Sarah de Nordwall reflects on poems that have been sent in, shares a poem of her own, leaves us with a theme and a writing prompt and sends us off to write something ourselves. Send your submissions to sarah@sarahdenordwall.com and the rest of the podcasts can be found on Radio Maria England’s website. FLORILEGIUM - 18. 'In Lovely Blue' feat. Rosemary Black

In Episode 18 Antonia and Rosemary Black discuss Mary’s creative ‘let’, Holderlin’s poem ‘In Lovely blue’ and what it is to dwell. They move onto ways of thinking about the house and garden relationship. They are joined by two little people who didn’t want to nap. Music: Mantle (Ave) by Joseph and Rosemary Black. Florilegium is a programme on Radio Maria which seeks to weave together liturgy, literature and  gardening in rambling, hopefully fruitful ways. It is written and presented by Kate Banks and Antonia Shack. About the Creators Antonia leads a patchwork life with jobs including but not limited to mother, book designer, editor, actor and teacher. She and Kate began discussing poetry, liturgy and gardening at the Willibrord Fellowship reading group in London and are delighted to be continuing these conversations on Radio Maria.  Kate (currently on leave from Florilegium) is a teacher of Literature, Philosophy and Theology, with a particularly keen regard for the poet and artist David Jones around whom many of her studies and her teaching-subjects have been based. She also briefly worked as a gardener in London, though she now lives with her little boy on the river Exe in Devon.
