We leave for a trip in 15 HOURS… and somehow we’re sitting here recording a podcast. 😂 This week on Pretty Basic, we’re getting into travel chaos, Disney World, Remi’s unfortunate car ride, Alisha’s hot neighbor (yes, he’s still hot), and the very important question of how anyone is supposed to pack when you have approximately zero time.We also get into a surprisingly deep conversation about ADHD in dating, relationships, and rejection sensitivity — including why rejection can hit SO much harder when you have ADHD and how that can show up in your relationships. We chat about the idea of finding systems that actually work for your brain instead of constantly trying to force yourself to function like everyone else. And of course, there’s Miami, a train ride, and the infamous Shake Shack burger redemption story we all knew you were waiting for, plus the reveal of where we’re headed next… Get ready for a LOT of yapping before we hop on a plane. ✈️Sponsors:HINGE: So if you’re putting yourself out there or thinking about getting back into dating, Hinge is definitely worth checking out. A brand deal of a LIFETIME, a hot neighbor, and a whole lot of “wait… WHAT?!” ✨ This week on Pretty Basic, we’re getting into the wild world behind the scenes of podcasting, the business moves you don’t see, and what happens when you start feeling a little… taken advantage of. We’re also deep-diving into Alex Cooper’s Unwell Productions, the allegedCharli D’Amelio money drama we heard through the grapevine 👀, and all our thoughts on IRL Meets World.Plus, Alisha gives us the latest on her BookTok era, shares what she’s currently reading, and reveals how she discovered that she has a VERY hot new neighbor (and, more importantly, WHAT IS SHE SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT IT?!). And because we can never escape reality TV… we’re getting into The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives too. We’re in our take care of ourselves season… allegedly. This week on Pretty Basic, we’re talking all things health, hormones, and what it actually looks like to prioritize yourself.Alisha opens up about navigating her PMDD diagnosis, learning to stop minimizing her own symptoms, and why sometimes you have to trust your gut when something just doesn’t feel right. We’re talking hormones, mental health, period tracking, the TikTok-to-doctor pipeline, and the importance of advocating for yourself when it comes to your health. Plus, Remi gets candid about getting back into therapy, prioritizing her physical and mental health, and the steps she’s taking to work through things before starting a family.Basically, it’s learning about hormones, therapy, motherhood, unsolicited TikTok medical advice, and two women realizing that taking care of yourself is actually… kind of important? Who knew?content warning: as this episode discusses depression, mental health, PMDD, and difficult thoughts. Please take care while listening.Sponsors: HINGE: Try Hinge’s new feature, Friend’s Take. This week on Pretty Basic, we’re talking about Remi's career change, how she broke someone’s Tesla, and peak quintessential girlhood— because apparently all it takes is friends, lychee martinis and a bag obsession. Plus, we’re getting into the discourse surrounding why the internet seems determined to critique women (on absolutely everything!). And of course, we have to talk about that one girl who swooped in, killed and stole her man. Like whattt?! 👀Sponsors:HINGE: Try Hinge’s new feature, Friend’s Take. We’re back at home, baby! This week on Pretty Basic, we’re getting back to the roots of the pod and catching up on everything we missed while living our separate lives. Alisha recaps her absolutely insane trip to Chicago—including a nightmare travel day, flood warnings, why her bill totaled $1,400 (!!!) and how she somehow ended up in a DJ’s green room. This week, we're getting very real. We open up about why Pretty Basic has felt different lately, the honest conversations we've been having behind the scenes, and why we almost thought it might be the end of the podcast as we know it. (Don't panic—we're evolving, not disappearing.)Then we catch you up on everything from our first-ever at-home recording setup to a dramatic breakup-fueled night out and a husband who literally saluted Remi into battle. We also unpack Alisha's most unhinged dream yet... yes, you heard that right... involving Disneyland (of course), a drag queen (we love), Rihanna (iconic), and way too many turkey legs (because why not?).Basically... we're bringing Pretty Basic back to its roots—and taking you along!Sponsors:LOWES: Visit lowes.com/delivery to learn more.PLAN B: Find Plan B at a retailer near you or order online or through your favorite delivery app today.
