Haunting: Special Edit
This is a special, re-edited edition of a talk called "Haunting" that Jay gave back at Bryant-Lake Bowl, on May 12th, 2019.When Jay originally gave this talk, Caleb and Robert's nagging insistence that Afterglow should not be a separate podcast--but a segment of the main Revolution podcast, had not yet convinced Jay, so in this version, the talk and the afterglow are at last connected. Also, in response to the number of recent requests for the inclusion of some sort of original music from an artistic congregation member, we decided to try to get the ball rolling with a simple little baby step, by including some of Caleb's original acoustic music in this edit.Hope you enjoy. Open to any feedback, suggestions, or constructive criticism, as we try to incorporate more of the congregation’s original expressive art into our services. Much love!!@revolutionchurchmn@jaybakker@revolutioncalebwww.dirtdoctrine.bandcamp.comwww.revolutionchurch.com Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Love Looks Like Christ
Assistant Pastor Caleb Rowe gives a talk on the experiences of young queer Christians, and the churches they love that often don't love them back.Despite any and all doctrinal differences, all denominations SHOULD hopefully at least be able to agree that the mission of the church is to emulate Christ--God, Light, and Love incarnate. After his sermon, Caleb interacts with the online congregation via the church's weekly live stream on Facebook.Recorded on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Released on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020.@revolutioncaleb@revolutionchurchmn@postxianpodcasting Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Congregation Check-In: Andrew Reimers
Our favorite Johnny Cash impersonator pops in on a call to become our first ever RETURNING Meet Your Congregation guest.Andrew's first appearance on the podcast resulted in an unpredictable number of conversations with all sorts of people--some grateful and impressed by Andrew's outspoken allyship, and some less inclusive believers who disapprove of his openly affirming stance. This episode was a really cool opportunity for the whole congregation to share with Andrew in his evolving relationships with the diverse individuals and groups in his life (and, unfortunately, some who simply are not in his life any more).@revolutionchurchmn@jaybakker@revolutioncaleb@postxianpodcasting Hosted on Acast.
