A Rhino and one of the GOATs, Dylan Freechild, joins us to kickoff Season 3. Dylan has been in the frisbee spotlight since he was running with EGO. Over the years, Spikezilla has been known as one of the most firey competitors in the sport. He helped start the media age with Nexgen from 2011-2013, won the Callahan in 2013, has been on more National Teams than we can count, and added his second Club Championship to the trophy case this past weekend. Underneath the firey, trash-talking exterior is an incredibly humble and thoughtful human. Dylan has given as much to the sport as anyone else and is a very deserving 2x Champion. Tobias is absolutely hilarious. He comes from a frisbee family and Ring of Fire royalty. I'm proud to hear how self aware and hungry he is for a cocky 20 year old kid. Tobe is a frisbee machine. For Tobe, Frisbee is life. He lives and breathes it. Having Pawel on is like family Thanksgiving. A lot of shouting and yelling and a lot of love. We're still yelling at each other even when we agree. This will be our last episode of Season 2. A sincere thanks to anyone has tuned in over the first couple years. This is a passion project. It's a construct to hangout and talk about the sport we all dedicate our lives to. It has been incredibly rewarding to make connections in our first 2 seasons. Alex's trainer, Brian Nevison, joins us to talk about how to train for performance as an ultimate athlete. Brian has a degree in Kinesiology and has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach for a decade and a half. He has also been playing ultimate since high school. Brian walks us through what frisbee players get right and areas where we should focus more in terms of joint and tendon health. In our experience, many high level players regularly deal with tendinopathy, because they haven't built the capacity to handle the demands of practice, games, and tournaments. Ben Feldman is the Owner, GM, and Head Coach of the Minnesota Wind Chill - a team he's cleated up for in 5 different seasons. Ben has been a fixture of Minnesota Ultimate Frisbee for 20+ years. He was a high school standout at Hopkins before winning a U-19 Gold Medal with Team USA. He's a two time college champion with the Wisconsin Hodags. He also played in 10 USAU Club Championships with Madison Club and Sub Zero. Feldman has always been an entrepreneur. He owned and operated Next Level Ultimate Camps from 2009 to 2016 before becoming part owner of the Wind Chill with his business partner, Omar Ansari, in 2017.
