When we think of vows, we actually don't make them very often in our lives, yet we might find ourselves spending lots of time doing things that aren't that important to us, at the expense of the few things we really want to be devoted to.  What does devotion have to do with astrology? Tomorrow we have the New Moon and a total of 4 grahas in Anuradha nakshatra, which represents devotion. This is in the sign of Scorpio in your birth chart.  The first half of this episode is about The Astrology of Devotion. The second half is all about how the New Moon in Anuradha. I recommend listening to this episode now, then coming back in 4 weeks to review at the end of this Lunar Cycle.  I'll share what planets, signs and nakshatras you can look to in your chart to see where you most naturally can find devotion - this applies to EVERYONE and does not just have to do with relationships or spirituality, in the way devotion is often considered.  Wed Nov 23, 3:57pm New Moon in Scorpio in Anuradha Nakshatra Take time to go within, offline, in quiet, stillness and meditation, especially in the 24hrs of the waning moon up to the New Moon. Connect to the sense of potential and possibility of the lunar cycle ahead. Lay low that day and let your intuition guide you. Imagine your life as a garden where you have planted many things over your life and now is the time to tend to your garden with care. Celebrate and enjoy what has grown, uproot any weeds, trim anything that is dying or overgrown and make space to plant seeds of new intentions going forward. The shakti of this nakshatra is devotion, symbolized by the loving relationship of Krishna and Radha, an avatar of Lakshmi and the supreme goddess of love, tenderness, compassion, and devotion who is with Krishna in all of his incarnations. Anuradha is ruled by Mitra, the god of friendship, so reach out for help and connect with friends, relatives and partners. Prosperity comes through working with others and being willing to ask for help; in all ways including materially and financially. Deepen your devotion to what matters most to you with your actions. The element of water invites you to be fluid, allowing, light and clear. The symbol is the lotus, reminding us that without the mud, there can be no lotus. Stay connected to your roots, your darkness, your depths as well as your expansion, your opening and the beauty of what you have to offer. The ruling Graha is Shani which, like the lotus, represents the beautiful expression and opening possible over time by not avoiding our darkness and challenges, but by remaining humble, patient and devoted to our own authentic opening over time. Be soft, be patient, be kind to yourself and others and a level of maturity, balance and ease in all relationships will naturally arise. If resentment towards others comes up, consider what standards or expectations you are holding someone else to and how you could be more curious, kind and compassionate with both them and yourself. Your self care practices will make it easier to show care for others. This is setting the theme for the lunar cycle over the next month.  Hear this and much more on this episode.
