Dr. Ely is a subspecialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine who conducts patient-oriented health services research as a professor of medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
