Ep 66 Interview Sessions with Joe Ferraro
In this episode I am joined by a man after my own heart. Joe Ferraro is the host of the 1% better podcast.
Even though Joe is teacher, what you'll hear from the richness of this interview is that Joe remains very much a student and this shows in his learnings around self awareness, personal development and leadership.
We talk about what it means to be 1% better and how closely that ethos aligns with being ABTY.
We discuss how taking imperfect action is better than perfect inaction.
We talk about leadership and culture and how great leaders ask the simple question of "what do you guys need from me?".
Joe and I also bond in our admiration from James Clear - author of Atomic Habits - a book that perfectly describe what we represent.
I think you will really enjoy this conversation. Please let me know if that's the case. Do share it with someone you feel needs to hear it!
My favourite quote Joe shared was from Pria Parker - "every time we are together is a chance to practice a world we wish existed". How amazing is that. ABTY, that's what we strive to do. Create the world we wish existed, for ourselves and others.
Much love
Ryan

Ep 64 Interview Sessions with Liam McKelvie
In this week's episode I speak with Liam McKelvie, motivational speaker and founder of ZeroLimbits.
At the age of 2, Liam sadly had his four limbs amputated because of meningitis.
In this conversation we cover, motivation, resilience, depression, gratitude, persistence and purpose.
The one thing that resonated with me most was the fact that Liam said his positive mental attitude has been developed because he simply had no choice. Can you imagine what we all would be capable if we considered that we had no other choice and that quitting was not an option. Powerful thought.
Please do share this with the one person you feel needs to hear Liam's message.
Much love

Interview Sessions Ep 62 with Athena Melchizedek Sananda
Ep 62 of the Always Better than Yesterday Interview Sessions was recorded with Athena Melchizedek Sananda before Christmas.
Honestly, I’ve held off publishing this one because I’ve been spending time trying to work out how I feel about this interview in light of my ever developing Christian beliefs.
But I’ve had to check myself and remember that this podcast isn’t about me.
It is about my guest, my listeners and the sharing of perspectives to help people learn and move forward.
This lady is incredible. A beautiful soul who it was a pleasure to meet at an event last year and share space together on this interview.
Sorry for delaying. Hope you enjoy Ep 62.
Much love
Ryan

Reflection on 2019 - My Hardest Year
In this podcast I reflect on how much of a challenge 2019 has been.
I have learned:
1. Love is REALLY important to me
2. I have the courage to do whatever it takes
3. Even in my hardest times, I still have the strength to serve and look after others
4. There is so much out of our control, just focus on what you can control and that's how we show up and how we lead
5. God has a plan for me and I am learning to trust in that
6. The right people can make such a profound impact on your life - positively or negatively. Choose them wisely.
7. Prioritise your physical and mental health
I'm grateful for it all. I wouldn't be entering 2020 as powerful and purposeful without the pain.
What has 2019 taught you?
What is your focus for 2020?
My focus is to lead with love and serve with purpose. Everyday.
Much love and thank you
Ryan
