Gary answers a listener question about theonomy and Leviticus 19. Many churches teach, including the listener's, that Old Testament laws not repeated in the New Testament are no longer binding. But Paul writes in 1 Timothy 1:8 that "we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully." Paul wrote this BEFORE there was such a thing as the NT and the OT was the only Scripture he had. There is much more to this topic than simply relying on a made-up rule about repetition between the OT and NT.

Gary discusses the current movie, Jesus Revolution, which tells the story of the Jesus Movement in the late 1960s and early 1970s. While not a review of either the movie or the movement, Gary laments the shallowness of what was taught (or not taught) by this captive audience of new believers more than 50 years ago. Had a comprehensive biblical worldview been taught, we may be in a completely different situation today.

In this short interview with the late Dr. Gary North, the two Garys discuss the benefits and biblical application of the Five Point Covenant Model. Dr. North shows that the covenant is unavoidable and always flows out from the very first point: "Who's in Charge?"

Gary talks about his comic book collection and his decision to sell much of it to another collector. Gary talks a bit about the comic book industry and its history, as well as the concept of collecting and value as a whole.

Gary riffs on one of his favorite side-topics: spiritual manipulation and magic. 19th century "spiritual photographer" William Mumler provides the entry-point into the discussion. Harry Houdini, Andre Kole, Danny Korem, Penn and Teller and many others have devoted a large part of their lives to proving that spiritual manipulators are simply using tricks and illusions to convince the gullible of their "mystical" powers.

Gary discusses movies, the end-times, and books. Rapture fever has returned, which makes a book Gary wrote in 2001 relevant once again. Left Behind: Separating Fact from Fiction is Gary's answer and response to the Left Behind craze from the 1990s, which resulted in several movies and a slew of promotional products. Gary discusses comments made at Davos 2023. The World Economic Forum honestly believes that they are the elite of the world with all the answers. John Kerry made the point that they are "almost extraterrestrial," in that they're here to save us from ourselves. This reminded Gary of an old TV show (of course) called the Twilight Zone and one of its episodes in particular.

Gary concludes his interview with Jay Rudolph on the Plumb Line radio program. History is full of examples of both kings and religious leaders overstepping jurisdictional boundaries. The Bible is clear that government and politics are not the same. There are several broad categories of governments—family, church, civil—but each one is dependent upon self-governed individuals. As Robert Winthrop succinctly put it: "Men will be governed by either the Bible or the bayonet."

Gary was interviewed by Jay Rudolph on the Plumb Line radio program. Gary discussed several recent articles he wrote, as well as general worldview issues. Christians must understand that we are in a war of ideas and consequences, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6.

Gary responds to recent article by John Piper, which is an excerpt of his new book, Come, Lord Jesus. Pastor Piper rehearses similar arguments to those in the past trying to explain away the imminency of the coming of the Lord in Matthew 24 (and many other NT passages). Jesus meant what He said about the nearness of His coming in judgment on first-century apostate Israel.
