#218 - Let’s Talk About the Body, Part Two

Last week was Let’s Talk About the Body, Part One, and I highly encourage you to listen to it if you haven’t already. I’m laying out ten principles to think about when it comes to your body and other people’s bodies; five were last week. Five are this week.As a reminder, last week’s principles were one, the body is amazing; two, there is no normal body; three, there isn’t a hierarchy of bodies; four, bodies don’t have to be healthy in order to count; and five, there are privileged bodies. Ready for the next five? Let’s jump in.Helpful Companion Links Here’s a list of resources that informed my own research and knowledge of body neutrality. #216 - Navigating Siblings Who Fight

Today, I’m sharing ten things to help you navigate siblings who fight. To give you some context, I am not an expert. I’m only a mom. I am not a child psychologist or a parenting expert. I am in the thick of parenting with two boys who are 11 and 9 and a five year old daughter. It’s not like I’m seasoned in this. What I’m sharing today is simply what has helped in my own experience that is also informed by what I’ve learned from parenting experts but mostly my own therapy. Helpful Companion Links Check out The Lazy Genius Way (affiliate link) if you’d like to read more about how I use Lazy Genius principles every day. #213 - Create a Summer Reading Club

Obviously, summer reading is a big thing for a lot of people, and if you’re new around here, reading is one of my favorite things on the planet. Today though, I want to talk about something more specific. I want us to create a summer reading club. A reading club is a group of readers (and if you read the book, you are a reader, friend) talking about what they individually have been reading.Stuff Mentioned My first guest appearance on What Should I Read Next? and my latest appearance on it. #212 - A Guide to Summer House Rules

A House Rule is something that could keep that first domino from teetering and knocking over everything else. All of us have different kinds of summers, and all of us likely experience different modes and priorities, again, within the same summer. House Rules can really help give a little steadiness to that if you want it.Helpful Companion Links Check out The Lazy Genius Way (affiliate link) if you’d like to read more about how I use Lazy Genius principles every day. #211 - How to Plan a Summer Day

I want us to plan a summer day without turning into robots or without leaving literally everything to chance where we’re playing it cool on the outside because we’re cool and spontaneous and we go with the flow and on the inside we’re literally screaming in terror because going with the flow forever and always is just as stressful as planning every minute.Helpful Companion Links Check out The Lazy Genius Way (affiliate link) if you’d like to read more about how I use Lazy Genius principles every day.
