The 4 Step Process To Initiate Your Boys Into Manhood with Stephen Meeks

In a culture that constantly attacks manhood and faith, how do we help our boys as they transition into manhood? How does a father maintain influence in his son's life amidst the chaos of social media, friends, and sports? Today Jeremy is joined by Stephen Meeks, author of Save The Boys. Stephen helps fathers take their sons through an initiatory rite of passage so that they become men in the best sense of the word. This process is powerful enough to eliminate the "rebellious teenage years" in a family, because it fosters such connection and responsibility. Learn what we face as dads in the modern age, plus the CORE process Stephen helps dads lead their boys through, and get equipped to raise your boys into men. Conservative Christians Shouldn't Defend The Nuclear Family

It's strange to us that so many conservative Christians hold up the "nuclear family" as an ideal. The nuclear family has failed, and needs to be replaced. Now, before you think we've gone crazy, let's talk about what it needs to be replaced by... The TRADITIONAL (or, in Family Teams-speak, the "MULTI-GENERATIONAL") Family. There's a huge difference. Jeremy is joined by Tyler Graham and Chris Cirullo to talk about what that difference is, and how to get back to a Biblical blueprint of family that builds up and blesses, rather than tears down and destroys. On this episode, we talk about: 0:00 Intro 1:15 Should we really be defending the "Nuclear Family"? 4:37 "The nuclear family has failed" article 11:25 The paradigm shift from modern to traditional family 22:12 Does the nuclear family actually work? 27:31 The traditional family was a business enterprise 31:17 Multiple generations in DAILY contact 33:11 Traditional family as part of a broader congregation 43:09 Do you believe family is a vehicle? 51:04 Take courage and be hopeful! Motherhood, Joy, and the Preschool Debate

In this episode of the Family Teams Podcast (Motherhood Edition!), Jeremy and April are joined by Annalisa Barraza and Miranda Foust to discuss the countercultural idea of women actually enjoying motherhood. Then, the group reacts to a short clip from The Spillover podcast and discuss whether we should be sending our kids to preschool. We hope you notice that, yes, our ideas are often counterintuitive, but it's because something is desperately wrong with the way our culture is doing family. Our goal is to have honest and challenging conversations so that you as a listener can consider things from a new, and hopefully Biblical and multigenerational light. It's not always easy to have these conversations, but it's so worth it if we're going to raise up families that glorify God. What Happens To Families When A Wife Earns More Than Her Husband (Patrick Bet-David Reaction)

Jeremy and April Pryor wade into the sensitive topic of what happens in marriages when a wife earns more money than a husband, and eventually becomes the "alpha". This conversation is a reaction to a recent video by Patrick Bet-David. Is it guaranteed to cause problems? What are the effects on family in a world where this is becoming increasingly common? This deeply impacts how we raise our daughters and how we work together as family teams, so at risk of offending everybody, we're diving in to explore relationship dynamics and what this means for modern families. On this episode, we talk about: 0:00 Intro 0:43 Should couples workout together?  2:24 Do alpha women destroy marriages? 5:35 We are running multiple societal experiments...what is the impact on the family? 10:18 Is being a workplace leader and a wife incompatible? 20:18 Niceness and agreeability 29:25 Why it's so hard on marriages when women try to "beat" men 33:28 Do women "lose attraction" to husbands who earn less than them? 40:37 When government reforms fix unimportant problems and do more damage to the family 44:33 Raising daughters to want to be moms, and equipping them for motherhood Follow Family Teams: Facebook: https://facebook.com/famteams Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/familyteams Website: https://www.familyteams.com Resources Mentioned: Patrick Bet David Video Family Inc --- Hi, welcome to the Family Teams podcast! Fathers Are High-Agency Men With Generational Vision

Jeremy and Curt Storring react to Steve Irwin's multi-generational mission, then Jeremy finds the phrase he's been searching for to describe who a great father is today (especially compared to the "fun dad" as shown on Bluey and other modern media). On this episode, we talk about: 0:00 Intro 1:39 Steve Irwin's Multigenerational Family Vision 6:41 Do we all need massive, narrow, world-changing visions? 8:37 Families (not institutions) should be multi-generational vehicles to fulfill missions 10:32 Levels to fatherly visions 16:25 Can a super narrow family vision subtly create disunity in a family team? 20:11 Leading with your mood 24:06 The difference between the modern, Western dad and the Biblical patriarch 31:47 Where are you giving up your agency? Raising Daughters Differently

Jeremy is joined by his wife April and their friends Jess and Brittany to react to a couple of recent Youtube videos about family and daughters in particular. First they tackle the question, how do we raise daughters differently from sons, particularly from the Family Teams perspective? Then they dive into the trad wife movement and ask what sort of contingency plans women should have in case the men in her life all let her down. This is a highly nuanced and important conversation to have from a Christian perspective to compare it to the modern, anti-God cultural story we're being told. On this episode, we talk about: 0:00 Intro 0:41 Topics 2:03 Reaction Clip 1: Marriage and Childbirth Culture in China 10:49 How do we raise daughters differently? 19:02 The biggest story wins 25:46 Should women create contingency plans in case every man in her life fails her? 27:55 Reaction Clip 2: Trad wife movement and contingency plans 35:02 Why Christian wives aren't thinking about contingency plans 40:32 Fathers as contingency plans when daughters are in need 52:06 "We roll deep." Motherhood vs. The Infertile Cult of Self-Expression

Jeremy and April Pryor are joined by Annalisa Barraza, Holly Worley, and Jess Gonyea to discuss two topics surrounding motherhood and femininity, all through the Family Teams lens. First they react to whether there's a place for women to "be" in the family, when compared to working outside the home. Our culture has put "self-expression" as the highest virtue, but can we as Christians really buy into that? Next, they comment on the reality of a woman's biological clock (in reaction to a Brett Cooper video). Even in Christian circles, nobody is talking to young women about the reality of fertility, aging, and the process leading up to having kids, and it's creating a tragic epidemic of "unplanned childlessness". These are the conversations we need to be having to point people back to Truth, Reality, and Christ in a world that's absolutely bent on distorting it all in order to do violence to the family as a vehicle for God's will. On this episode, we talk about: 1:34 Does the "Christian right" need more of a vision for women than being a wife and mother? 5:34 Moms react...is there a place for women to "be" in a family setting? 20:23 The cultural lie that "self-expression" is the ultimate goal 22:48 The Proverbs 31 woman as a vision for mothers and wives 30:35 Brett Cooper on The Reality of a Woman's Biological Clock 40:54 The pill, society's view of children, and "babymoons" 47:40 Integrating your entire life Follow Family Teams: Facebook: https://facebook.com/famteams Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/familyteams Website: https://www.familyteams.com Resources Mentioned: Brett Cooper Video --- Hi, welcome to the Family Teams podcast! Responsible Inheritance for Christian Fathers: How To Make It A Blessing, Not A Curse

In this insightful discussion, Chris Cirullo, an expert on Christian inheritance, and Reilly Pilgrim, who explores inheritance's cultural impact, tackle the question: is inheritance a blessing or a curse? They emphasize the necessity of integrating adult children into family businesses for lasting success and critique modern parenting's influence on family legacies. The duo underscores the vital role fathers play in instilling ambition and nurturing spiritual values while advocating for a cooperative family environment that values both financial and character legacies.

Are Our Kids "Good Inside"? Christian Moms React To Dr. Becky Kennedy's Parenting Advice

Jeremy is joined by his wife April, Kristin Netting, and Jess Gonyea to talk motherhood and parenting advice, specifically in reaction to some of the ultra-popular mainstream parenting influencers giving their opinions out there. Can the advice of parenting "experts" like Dr. Becky Kennedy be reconciled with a Biblical worldview? Is it helpful? How do we know what parts are helpful and which are harmful? On this episode, we talk about: 0:49 Processing Dr. Becky's parenting advice through a Biblical lens 2:18 The difference between making a request and setting a boundary 11:00 Women react to "turning up the volume" when there's an issue in the family and both spouses need to get on board 17:41 The framework issue between modern, Western marriages and Family Teams 21:13 Parenting from the belief that your child is innately good 36:57 Are our kids destined for shame and failure if we don't believe they're "good inside"?
