The Filioque between St. Augustine and the Council of Toledo (589)
This episode Dr. Jenkins looks at the 5th and 6th centuries, the period after St. Augustine (d. 430), wherein the Latin west nearly unanimously embraced doctrine of the double procession of the Holy Spirit. But this confession came with no real theological explanation about what exactly this meant.
