Joker is undeniably one of the biggest films of 2019 - both financially and culturally - so when Ali got the chance to speak to its director, Todd Phillips, he jumped at the chance, talking about the movie's phenomenal success and the possibility, just maybe, of a sequel...

Writer/director Rian Johnson has only made five films, but what films they've been... There's Brick, The Brothers Bloom, Looper, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and now his latest, Knives Out, a murder mystery/whodunnit starring such big names as Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis and Daniel Craig. Here, Rian talks to Ali about the films that inspired him, constructing such a complicated narrative, getting Craig on board and much more besides.
