We’ll explore the causes of female crime, victimology, the legal system, as well as celebrate heroines who have left their mark on the criminal justice system.Dr Meghan Sacks and Dr Amy Shlosberg are both Professors of Criminology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Both have years of first-hand experience working with offenders and professionals in the criminal justice system. They teach classes covering topics such as: Women & Crime, Race & Crime, Criminology, and Serial Killers.

We heard their stories, struggles and they let us know what daily life was like in this all-women prison.

After her three month old son Ryan got violently ill, Patricia Stallings rushed him to the hospital where he was placed in the pediatric intensive care unit. She and her husband were informed that their baby had been poisoned. Suspicions surrounded the couple, however it wasn’t until several weeks later when baby Ryan suffered another episode, that Patricia was arrested. Tragically, Ryan’s condition worsened and he passed away and Patricia was convicted of first-degree murder. However, it wouldn’t be long until the real truth emerged.
