Well if you've met this week's guest, then you have been under a Human Lie Detector! This week on Fraudish Kelly speaks with her friend Nejolla Korris who is an international expert in the field of Linguistic Lie Detection and Cybersecurity - Social Engineering and Social Media Risk. In the episode we get into why our children lie, how we taught them, why introductions matter, how people react to being with a lie detector, and so much more! Nejolla is the Chief Executive Officer at Interveritas International. Korris has analyzed documents for fraud, international security, arson, sexual assault, homicide, and missing persons' cases, causing some of her clients to dub her the "Human Lie Detector." She has worked with Singapore police, FBI & cold case units of Scotland Yard and Irish Garda as well as several other law enforcement agencies. This week on Fraudish, Kelly speaks with Brian Watson, who has decades of experience in financial crimes. Most recently, he has transitioned into non-profit work in preventing elder financial scams and abuse. If you have an elder loved one, this episode is especially important, as we discuss how to prevent and report financial crimes against the elderly. Especially as these scams are getting more and more sophisticated every day. Brian spent 28 years in Federal Law Enforcement investigating financial crimes as a Special Agent with IRS Criminal Investigation. He spent much of that time as a Public Information Officer warning the public about financial related scams. He was so impressed by R.O.S.E., he decided to join the team.
